probably been posted on here, but I am in love with a toasted turkey sandwich with about a 1/4 inch slice of cranberry sauce.
Not that crap deli sliced turkey either, Im talking about the big slices from the bird you cook in the oven.

My favorite sandwich is from a place in Denver called Osteria Marco... it's a Porchetta Cubano, which is herb-roasted pork, proscuitto di parma, and provolone on panini bread. They also make a lamb panini that is ridiculous... rotisserie lamb with goat cheese and an olive tapenade served with a little arugula salad and some Italian sweet/hot peppers on the side. Now THAT's a sandwich... you can keep your Quizno's.

When I'm at home and have some good bread, I usually make either really bomb vegetarian sandwiches or go Italian style and buy some good cappicola (gabagool.. heh @ Sopranos) and salami, a nice sharp provolone, drizzle an olive oil vinaigrette on the bread, top with some arugula, roma tomatoes, and dived artichoke hearts. That's the **** right there.

I'm a sandwich snob... always have been. My Mom used to make me the bomb sandwiches and I was the envy of the lunchtable as I ate my BLTs with avocado and other assorted goodness in front of people eating warmed-over cafeteria pizza. My friends used to offer to trade me all kinds of **** for them and I never did.. hah.

Hah, well the lamb sandwich is just the rotisserie lamb, great local goat cheese, and the olive tapenade... the proscuitto would make it a total heart attack.. hah. I love me some pork, lamb, and duck... all other meats quiver in fear of the pig though... so versatile it's not even fair.

Gonna go after work and pick up some Peking duck from the Asian supermarket to attempt some tacos... I'm gonna try some simple ones with just the duck, some cilantro, sriracha, bean sprouts for crunch, and lime juice. Should be good. The Chinese can make some duck and pork... belieeeeve dat.

The best sangwitch you can get in Chicago is at Fontano's off of Taylor Street in Little Italy.

Ask for the 'blockbuster' with hot peppers, it's the f***ing best!

Soon going to lunch at work, to eat sandwiches. It's 14:15 here and I like to eat around 14:30. This way I got about 3 hours left to work when I'm back (if I can leave at 18:00).

As a young boy in Cattolica, Sicily, I got accustomed to eating a sort of banana sandwich. Sometimes with peanut butter (homemade) and other times with different jams. My nonna also used to make a great pannino with prosciutto, cappicollo and homemade peppers and eggplants. They were awesome.

Today, I pretty much still make the same sandwiches above, but I also enjoy a classic mortadella, provolone, spicy eggplant and pepper sandwich. Oh and you can't forget the great smoked meat sandwich from the local deli place!

The sandwiches are good, but I think the side dish of some nice chips is what completes it. I'm a fan of Cape Cod kettle chips. Not too salty, not too greasy, a very nice crunch. Perfect.

We recently got a McAlister's Deli here and those are probably the best sandwiches I've eaten at a restaurant; I love the Roast Beef Melt, everything's so fresh, great stuff. Not to mention their Spuds are freakin' gigantic, but thats OT.

As far as homemade sandwiches go, though, the best I've made have been using honey-wheat bread with mayo on one slice and French's Honey-Mustard on the other (somtimes I will substitute the mustard for some type of sweet onion dressing we have at the house). Slices of pepperoni with a piece of swiss or provolone cheese. Then my favorite meat is this sundried tomato something turkey, which is delicious, and top that with another slice of cheese. Yummy.
