We stayed at Couples Swept Away in Negril after staying at Sandals Ocho Rios last time (both all inclusive). Overall Negril is much better than Ocho Rios, but Sandals is probably the better resort. The one plus side is that Couples allows topless sunbathing (or at least does nothing to prevent it), whereas Sandals did not. And having the awesome wife that I do, she even let me get a picture of a hot brunette, my wife was even so nice as to pretend to let me take her picture as I did it.

The alcohol was flowing all week, I didn't really mix it up too much on the resort, staying with the staples of Margaritas and Jamaican Rum Punch (aka Planter's Punch). We did go to Margaritaville and Rick's Cafe. At the latter I tried a drink called Jamaican Viagra, thinking it was a funny name for the drink, only to find out about 25 minutes later it wasn't just a funny name.
I got in a round of golf one day, no idea what I shot but considering I hadn't played in 2 years, I did much better than I thought I would.
We took a day trip called the Negril Hilites tour and really lucked out in that it was only the 2 of us, which meant we could go at our own pace throughout the tour which was nice. We did some shopping, got a bunch of wood carvings and random other stuff before going to Rick's Cafe. I didn't have the courage to cliff dive, my fear of heights does that in.
We tried going snorkeling on Sunday, but the waves were to rough to enjoy it unfortunately. That was a shame because we waited until Sunday for my wife's birthday. Oh well, she had it made up other ways (like with the trip and a pair of earrings).
The flight home sucked. The first flight was 30 minutes late which made making the connection to Hartford a stressful event. Fortunately we didn't get stuck at Customs very long and our bags came out semi-quickly. We re-checked them and sprinted to the terminal making our flight with about 15 minutes to spare. Then on the way home one of our bags, the one with my clothes and our souvenirs didn't make the flight somehow, which left us with the stress of wondering where our souvenirs were overnight, but they came to the house this morning around 9am.
Overall it was a great trip. The weather was awesome, it stayed in the 80's all week and only sprinkled a couple of times during the day and once at night. So needless to say by New England standards we have some great tans right now.
I'll post some pics later.
