Who even has the PATIENCE to read through those stupid emails, let alone fall for them? -
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Do people actually fall for these things?
My grandmother fell for one of the phishing scams from people who said they were here credit card company.
She went ot the site and put in her "updated" information. I think then a few weeks later she saw that she had some purchases on her card and called the police.
When she told me this I just shook my head. My grandmother is crazy. She is like Betty White's character from the Golden Girls.Comment

Re: Do people actually fall for these things?
It must be a problem in Connecticut, they run advertisements warning people of these scams. They generally involve someone coming up to them in person and pulling the scam with the saying "If you wouldn't fall for it here, why would you fall for it online."Comment

Re: Do people actually fall for these things?
When I tried selling my old TV on Craigslist I had responses from a Nigerian. I tried screwing with him but it just took him too damned long to respond. I guess he wasn't a motivated con artist.Sadly they do..but check out this website. Some cat with way too much time on his hands started f-ing with them whenever he received their emails.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Again just want everyone to know that thanks to pk I wouldn't have found this oceanfront in Omaha. Without him I'd be stuck in god awful North Carolina dealing with hot and then cold winter. Here it's summer all year around and don't even have to leave the front porch without seeing beach and ocean all around. Thanks pk!!!!!!President of the Devils Den

Re: Do people actually fall for these things?
There are lots of scams people fall for. And yes I was one of them.
Everything seemed to be on the up and up. It all was formal and professional.
However as soon as I said "I do", I was screwed.

Re: Do people actually fall for these things?
Yes people do. People will scam anybody anytime. A sucker is born every minute.
Here's a good one that people love to do to tourists on the strip. Find a laptop computer box. Put some magazines/phone books/etc... inside and then seal it back up. Then walk around dressed fairly nice and sell them to tourists for a few hundred bucks. Works great during CES.
If it's too good to be true...it probably is.- The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.Comment
