I've had this happen too but I know that I'm dreaming while I'm in the middle of the dream. Don't ask me how I know this but I just wait for myself to wake up. One time I had the feeling that it was a dream and I thought I "woke" up only to go into another dream and then finally wake up for real...mind-blowing I know. Someone mentioned to me that it could've been a lucid dream but I don't have any godly idea of what happened to me.

Re: Crazy!
Search for the sleep paralysis thread I made about 2-3 years ago on these forums. It was full of details and about 200 replies. I never knew what it was when it happened to me until people started replying and explaining the whole sleep paralysis thing.
But yeah, it sucks, bigtime. The few times it's happened to me I feel as though there is a red glow all around the room. Creepy stuff.Comment

Re: Crazy!
You just experienced exactly what you said. Its sleep paralysis. I've been diagnosed with having it for quite some time. Its the most freaky and uncomfortable thing that can ever happen to me as I think I'm going to die whenever it happens. I wake up in the middle of the night, cant move a muscle but I can see and hear everything thats around me. I can feel myself pull or try to lift my arms or legs but I simply cant. Its as if my body wakes up before my brain and I'm unable to budge. Its like the doorway between sleep and being awake and you're stuck inbetween. I hate it with a passion.
And to add to that, the "go to sleep brandon" that you think you've heard is probably connected to you telling yourself to go back to sleep as if you were dreaming. Every so often when I do have an episode, I have a dream like sequence connected to it and when I wake up, some of the things I thought I heard, did or seen never happened.Comment

Re: Crazy!
One time I was sleeping in bed by myself and I had a dream that someone was in bed with me. Then all of a sudden, they put their hand over my mouth and nose and started to suffocate me and I could not move or fight back no matter how hard I tried. I was thinking to myself, this is it....I'm about to die.Comment

Re: Crazy!
Used to happen to me quite a bit, not so much nowadays. It used to scare the hell out of me because the old folks in my family would say it was a demon trying to take my soul. Nowadays if it happens, I just try to stay calm, thinking happy thoughts and go back to sleep.
Once while I was living with my dad it happened. I woke up in the middle of the night. It was hot and I sweating. I couldn't move anything but my head from right to left with a lot of effort. This was during the time I still believed my elders horror stories so I tried to scream for help. I managed to get out this low croaking sound and I heard a voice from my closet say "I'm here." It sounded like my aunt's voice, who had been several years before that. I didn't say anything, managed to turn my head opposite of the closet and cry myself to sleep. I was scared as hell.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Crazy!
I looked over at the corner of my room and I knew it was the devil. Didn't see him but I knew he was there. Then I felt the foot prints in my bed. They started at my feet and moved up to my chest. I was trying to scream but couldn't. Tried to move but I couldn't.............I finally snapped out of it. My sister came into my room and said she heard me trying to talk.
Other time I was laying on my stomach. The Devil was in my room again. This time he came right behind me. I could feel him standing right behind me but I could not turn over. He made this god awful noise with his mouth. Almost like the sound from Hannibal Lector in the first Silence Of The Lambs. The sound he made when he was talking about eating someone. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Crazy!
I woke up this morning about 4:45 and I was laying there trying to go to sleep, I finnaly start dozing off and I feel as if someone is sitting on my bed or like standing on and I hear "Brandon go to sleep" I couldn't wake up at first (maybe sleep paralysis, as I've had that before..scary stuff too) and then I woke up or opened my eyes looked around my room and said F this and turned the tv on..lol. Scary stuff.
Anyone ever had something like this happen before? I mean it could of been a dream, but I don't feel like it was a dream.
I dunno too much!Comment

Re: Crazy!
omg @ you people.
Nothing goes on in sleep paralysis. If you start seeing people or hearing things, either you're having a nightmare or...well, something really is in your room lol. Like Graphik said, it's basically your body still asleep, but your brain is awake.
I get sleep paralysis sometimes and all I do is tell my body to lift one of my hands to bop me in the face in order to wake me up. Easy peezy.Comment
