      Re: Get Well, Steve!!

LOL, didn't even see this thread until WTF mentioned it to me. Thanks guys!

It all started out Monday morning, getting ready for work. I felt a slight pain in my stomach, whenever I feel this way, I know I'm going to be throwing up, at least 3 times. So, I got myself ready to do just that, then get ready for work. No idea why, but whenever I get sick, it's always 3 throw-ups and then I'm good to go.

Anyways, after throwing up nonstop, and I'm not exaggerating, at least 30 to 40 times, once every 5 to 10 minutes, I decided it was time to see a doc. The appt. was at 3:45 and I didn't think I'd make that time. Luckily my wife got off early and we got there at 2:45 and surprisingly, they took me right in, no wait or anything.

The doc massages a few areas and asks what happened this morning, told her the same story and how the side of my stomach was killing me. She pushed down on this particular area and it felt like she just stabbed me w/ a knife. She said, um...it's your appendix, you need to go to ER.

So, from there I went to ER and the pain was unbelievable. I had to wait in the waiting room for about 30 mins. filled out paperwork, etc. and was rushed in for a catscan. Well, I had to drink this awful liquid stuff and have it in my system for an hour before they could scan me. And I was halfway through my 2nd glass of disgustingness, and it ALL came out. Yup, I threw it all up in the bucket. So I had to drink up the nasy stuff AGAIN. So gross, I mean, I've had protein shakes that were 100 times better than this stuff.

Anyways, the catscan happens and they confirm it's the appendix. Next thing I know, they are telling me to count to 10 and I'd be out of it and I'll wake up the next morning w/ no appendix. Well, I just remember counting to 2 and don't remember anything after that. I didn't get the sex change Clay, although you are welcomed to go ahead w/ that, like you mentioned.

Anyways, I'm home now. I'll be laying around for a week, they say. I can't play ball for a month, so that really sucks. Other than that, I'm just glad they found the cause before it was too late, because supposedly, if you don't catch it in time, it's bad news.

Thanks for the thread Clay and thanks for the warm wishes everyone. I should be back to normal in a month. The news returns! Thanks to HD for helping out while I was gone.
