Funny, just this morning, I was looking at the Firefighter thread, thinking, if I don't get accepted, then I'd try that route. This is something I've always wanted... and the lengthy process of getting accepted was getting discouraging, but I'm still just extremely hyped that I was able to do it.

I was selected and offered a conditional employment (assuming I pass physical and psychological tests, lol).

I wouldn't start celebrating just yet. You're no shoe-in to pass that psychological exam. :wink:

Haha... yeah, anyone who has played w/ me on Live should be worried about me and the psych test.

And I didn't get the letter.. it was sent to my parents address, and mom was the one who told me the dates. June 16th I go for my psych evaluation. May 20th, I go for my physical exam.

Yeah, no videogames for 25 weeks, definitely gonna be odd. I've worked my butt off for this though, so it's something, like you said that I can be proud of. I appreciate everyones thoughts and words of encouragement through all of it as well. Will be weird not logging in to OS and checkin in on all of the news for the day though. It'll definitely not be the norm.

Thanks a lot man. It's going to stink not being around for the releases of NBA 2k8 this year... but I'll pick it up when I get out... and we'll have some great games again this year, haha.
