Random dap for the greatest comic strip of all time!

By which I mean, none other, than Bill Watterson's "Calvin and Hobbes".

Seriously, for the past year I've been enjoying the daily dose of the strip from www.comicalert.com (they offer daily feeds of comics) and am amazed how how funny, endearing, and above all TIMELESS his characters are. Brings me back to the Sunday funnies with my dad when I was but a pre-teen kid.

Anyway, just a random thread, on a random topic. Who can forget Spaceman Spiff, Susie, Miss Wormwood, and the the Transmogrifier?

The giant collection is also a worthy investment, and I would hope all TRUE fans would purchase it.

Now let's hope Bill Amend finishes up "Fox Trot" so that I can buy a giant collection of THAT great strip as opposed to the numerous collections...

Calvin and Hobbes is my favorite series ever and I have almost all the books, although they're tore up. I'm gonna try to get the complete collection once I get some money.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

For you guys looking at the collection, check your local Costco or Sam's Club around Christmas.

My wife and I bought both the Far Side and Calvin complete sets for a total of $120 two years ago and it was worth every penny. If you go to Barnes & Noble or a regular book chain the Calvin set alone retails that high.

IIRC, they had both at the Sams here in Springfield last year.
