    Whats the most you ever......

    ...spent on a first date?

    I was discussing this with some coworkers yesterday and this came to be an interesting topic. The most I heard one dude say was 150 bucks on a chick and that was only dinner and a lounge afterwards. I thought back to when I was on the dating scene last year. I took this one girl out to the:

    Taste of Chicago=28 bucks for 2 sheets of food tickets.
    Bar=15 dollars for 2 drinks.
    Movies=18 bucks for show tickets. 15 dollars for food and beverage.

    Total=$76

    Thats the most I ever spent on a date and I didn't even get the cooch. I'm not cheap but for a first date, thats a tad bit on the high side for me especially knowing that the first date can also be the last. Never again.

    Luckily you're dating the younger crowd, so your current G/F's first date was more like this.

    McD's

    Happy Meal - $4
    Big Mac meal - $4

    2 hours in playland

    off to a movie (matinee due to her age), $14 for 2

    Off to home

    So not bad for $22...see, there are advantages

      Man it's been a while, been married for 7 years so I don't count the wife.

      I'm guessing around 50 bucks though. Nice meal at Steve's Soul Food and a movie at the Star.

      Wait nope, I spent 60 bucks on tickets to a comedy show once but I got stood up. Ended up being the third wheel with my boy and his date. I'm married to the girl who stood me up though, so persistence pays mores o than money.

            I have spent plenty of foolish dollars on women. I mean, if for example, I took em out for dinner and then we went to a nice club or lounge and I ordered bottle service it can get to around 350 to 400 dollars.

            Trust me I'm not proud of this, but those mysterious lady parts can make you do some pretty f-ed up things.

              On topic, I can remember a date that went like this...

              Gas: $30
              Dinner: $50 for 2
              Movie: $30 admission and snacks
              Liquor: $25 5th of Hennessy
              420: $53...
              Her cigs: $5.50
              Motel: $40

              $233.50...but the next weekend she paid for the same thing...except for the liquor.

                  Around $85, but it was all on alcohol for the most part. We went to a chill bar, ate dinner, hit it off and just keep drinking.

                  At least she paid me back later that night.

                    Well you must have had $53 worth of the 420 after the dinner. Otherwise you would have spent a lot more than $50 for dinner.... Whas UP? (scrubs reference)

                      Re: Whats the most you ever......

                      For me, it was my first date with my wife...set me back $175, but it was by accident, not design.

                      We had concert tickets at a club in downtown Denver (that's the first $100), but when I got to her apartment she was changing and I was getting grilled by her roomate. We would have been pressed for time getting to the show, so we decided on dinner at Macaroni Grill (became a common spot for us in college...the next $50), and then went bowling, where I later cracked my head on an amp fuse that didn't want to budge...pliers, meet forehead!

                      Good times!

                          Probably close to the $70 range.

                          I've had dinner and movie on a few of my first dates. Typical dinner is around
                          $40-$50 and the movie tickets are $20.
