"Free" Resonates with people of all races/nationalties
Something pretty happened in Dallas-Ft. Worth today. Yesterday, my co-worker forwarded me an email that his wife sent. In it, we learned that Chipotle was going to be giving away FREE food to anyone and everyone who brought a non-perishable item to ANY DFW Chipotle location. So we all plan to go at lucnch today. I went to the one near the job and the line was out of the door, and wrapped all the way around the building. I say forget it and i'm not spending my lunch waiting in line. I drove to another location not far from the job and it was the same story there. I say oh well and just get a smoothie for lunch. I decided after work, what the hell, let me drive by. I stopped by and the line still looked like the line at disney world waiting for a ride. I decided to wait. Finally got my burrito!! lol. There were people of all races, ages, nationalities, etc waiting in line for FREE food. Gotta give props to the staff and management! Thanks Chipotle!"Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

I've never heard of Chipotle but Qdoba is really good.
And I thought the story was gonna go that it turns out the email was a lie but everyone went to the Chipotles anyway...that would be some hella marketing. Just send fake emails to get people there LMAOComment

I just happened to be going to Chipotle today and ran into this...couldn't believe the line was out the door at 3pm.
I give Chipotle a lot of credit but I think in the future they should make it 2 items per free burrito. I saw a lot of people in line with one can of generic soup that probably cost them $.40. I know the goal of the promotion isn't to make the value of the donated item the same as what they're getting but if I think it's a bit cheap to do what they did.
With that said, I did see several people in line with more than 1 item (including a couple with a bag with 5-6 things) which was nice to see.Comment

Chipotle was first though...Qdoba was the copycat.

People around here love Chipotle and I have no idea why. When I first came here and heard about it I thought it was going to taste like Qdoba so I went and got the chicken burrito. This is going to come off sounding very parochial, but in the Boston area, there is a place that annihilates any of these national burrito chains. Ana's Taqueria is hands down the greatest burrito restaurant in the country.
If you are ever in the area, I implore you to have a super or regular burrito or quesadilla, they are phenomenal. The tortilla's they make are out of this world and freshly grilled on the spot. So when you eat your sandwich it is piping hot. Plus, the price is dirt cheap as well (about $4.50 for a gigantic burrito filled to the brim). The restaurant is a cult classic in the area and has quite a loyal following.
There's no question, it is the best place, and will definitely be one of the things I miss most about living in the Boston area.Comment
