Vacation suggestions with a toddler
Looking to put together a family vacation the first week of September. We are not positive on where we want to go yet and are trying to look for destinations where having a 22 month old wont be an issue.
Any suggestions would be much appreciatedActually...believe it or not from my physique... I'm a light eater - Clay T. ShaverTags: None -

Any place that has a nice ZOO. Little ones about that age tend to really dig the zoo. You could find a lot of nice areas that also have nice Zoos. San Diego. Ummmmmmmmmmmm... well... I love the Toledo and Columbus Zoo, but they aren't really vacation spots.
When my kids were little... we usually rented cabins on a lake somewhere and just chilled.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

Re: Vacation suggestions with a toddler
I have a 3 year old and am trying to find something as well to do for a vacation. I thought about disney world, but I think i would rather wait until he is older and can appreciate it more. My son loves the water, and im sure most toddlers do, so maybe a beach of some sort is a good destination. I would avoid making a trip over seas unless you want a screaming child on the plane for 9+ hours. Camping could be fun, but I could only stand it for a few days, then would want to go live it up a bit. Keep throwing ideas out guys, becuase im sure alot of us with young uns could use some ideas."Basketball may have been born in Massachusetts, but it grew up in Indiana." - James NaismithComment

Re: Vacation suggestions with a toddler
San Diego Zoo is def a must see. I could sit and watch the polar bears for like three hours. I would also suggest some place like a Club Med, with some sort of day care so dad and mom can have a nice evening together. I know that most resorts in Hawaii and nicer ones in Mexico offer babysitting and daycare type programs for different ages. I know because I was stuck in 'em when I was younger.University of Oregon

Re: Vacation suggestions with a toddler
We went to Cape Cod and rented a cottage for the week with the wife and daughter. Just went to the small towns during the day and hit the beaches. Ate my fill of seafood and homemade ice cream. I liked it alot. Like Clay said, doing a whloe lot of nothing is underrated.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

I'd also suggest San Diego. Granted I'm 22 and don't have any kids but with the Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Air & Space Museum, Balboa Park in general, Mission Bay Park, the beaches it seems like there's a lot of stuff that would be enjoyable to a youngun.Comment
