    Online Poker Sites

Anyone know of any good online poker sites that are free to download but allow you to play for real cash. I was trying to log onto PartyPoker.com to play for real cash but got a message that says that "the President of the United States has signed a legislation" that forces Partypoker to cease taking wages from US customers.

Anyone know of any other good sites that I can try and make a little extra cash

    Thanks
    CB

Pokerstars and bodog.com are the two I know of.

Once I put my checks in the bank I'm planning on getting into some online poker to try and earn a few extra bucks.

Absolute Poker and Bodog are the two I use. I'd recommend both of them.

Well, it is illegal in case you didn't know. Just sayin'.

But, if I were to use one (not that I do *cough*), pokerstars would be my site of choice

Just wait until the resident online poker king Dk comes with his opinion.

            If he still plays.

Any sort of online gambling for real money is illegal in the United States.

That is not true. It is illegal for banks to facilitate online poker, but it is not actually illegal for someone to play poker. Having said that, I would recommend Full Tilt and Poker Stars.

I'm playing Absolute now. You get a great deposit bonus and good rakeback options through rakebrain.com

FullTilt is known for being the toughest site around. I like the bodog interface for multitabling and there are plenty of fish since jamie gold won while supporting bodog. Plus you can do a little sports betting on the side (at least you could when I played).

Absolute allows you to make a direct deposit with your credit card and I havent had trouble cashing out with them before. I wouldn't mess with a third party transfer site because you risk getting funds frozen *cough* Neteller.

Also I highly recommend twoplustwo.com forums for everyone who plays that isn't registered there yet.

Depends on how you look at it. The law says it is illegal for funds to be transferred from a "financial institution" to an Internet gambling site. From what I have heard, a court could rule that MasterCard or Visa (or any other credit card) constitutes a financial institution, and as such, would not be allowed under the law.

So, I would advise anyone who really cares not to gamble online... but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I get a check sent to me. It took about three to four weeks last time, but I just don't like dealing with third party "online wallets" that aren't Paypal.

How much do you usually put into your account at once? I'm thinking about finally starting up a real account now that I have a job.
