I'm in dire need of some computer help!

Alright, here goes. Today I was surfing the web, a PSD site looking for a certain PSD. When out of nowhere I get like 8 popups. So I exit out of the popups and leave the site immediately. After I leave the site I start getting the popups repeatedly so I check my list of installed programs and sure enough it has installed some crap onto my comp.

I delete the programs and run Lavasoft Ad-Aware Personal, which is what I use to remove adware and spyware or so I thought. So I run that thinking that will get rid of the problem that doesn't work either. So I decide to do one of those online PC Scans a couple of my friends on AIM recommended me to do called Panda Scan. I did that and it still didn't work.

I asked around and was referred to pctools.com and was told to download the Spyware Doctor program and it will remove everything. After downloading the program and running it, it brought up all the infections on my comp. So I deleted all the infections but I'm still getting the same annoying popups. Even if I have no windows open at all, just my desktop, I still get the popups.

I called the Geek Squad at Best Buy and I was going to let them fix the problem since I can't think of anything else to do but they wanna charge 200 bucks to fix it and that's just crazy. Hell for that prize I'd add a little more and just get a new comp, ya know? So I figured I'd turn to you guys.

Can someone please help me get rid of this problem? Please?

BTW, I didn't know where to post this so I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum also I'm sorry for writing a book here. Lol.

try "spybot search & destroy" . I use this and it works great. It's worth a shot.

You could always reformat your hard drive, that is free and you can do it yourself.

Go into safe mode and see if you can find anything that is related to the infectious files, and try to delete them from their.

That's kind of extreme don't you think? That sounds like a last resort type of thing to me.

Do you have a popup blocker untouchable04?
