    Virginia suggestions

Heading to the Virginia Beach area in a few weeks for a weekend and then was going to hit another 1-2 beach towns on the way up to Baltimore. So, if you're from that area or have been there and have any input I'd appreciate it...

    - Right now I just have 1 night planned for Virginia Beach...should I extend that to 2 nights? The current plan is we'll get in Friday afternoon and stay until Saturday night and then drive to the next place we'll be going.

    - Any suggestions for nice beaches to check out on the way back to Baltimore from VB?

    - Any suggestions for anything to do in either VB, Norfolk, Williamsburg or Richmond?

    - I found a site for rafting but it looks like they're not operating anymore. Know of anywhere we can do rafting?

I would say go to Colonial Williamsburg, or Yorktown or Jamestown, or all three if you get the chance. I really enjoy going there when I am down in that area. On your way up you should stop in Alexandria and spend some time there, there is good shopping and dining etc.

If you are a history buff, Charlottesville got your name on it. All collegiate ties aside, it's a beautiful place.

I'd imagine there's probably whitewater rafting on the James River, and I know there's some on the Rappahannock River, but you have to go upstream to get to it I believe.

Virginia Beach is great. I went a couple years ago with a bunch of friends, good times. Fine *** girls and the waves are sick. I would spend more then a day there.
