Re: Tae bo - Billy Blanks
The percent of a person actually getting results from using tae-bo is about .1%
It's almost impossible for most people to have discipline. Go to a fitness club. -
Re: Tae bo - Billy Blanks
My fiance did them when she was younger and said they were a hell of a cardio workout and they kept her in good shape. In fact she still has some of them if I recall. Seeing as they are a cardio workout, I would imagine they would provide good weight loss with the right diet.Comment

Re: Tae bo - Billy Blanks
My GF's dad has those DVDs.
Doesn't seem to be working for him, but he says it does. Plus he told me it's nice to look at the hot women in the background.
Just hit the gym, cardio, lifting and better eating. Don't need no DVDs.Comment

Re: Tae bo - Billy Blanks
I'm am sure if you did it 2 to 3 times a week and did it right then it would work great. Any aerobic activity that get's your heartrate going will burn fat. Like someone missioned though, you must have discipline. Just watching them will not burn calories.
Speaking of Billy Blanks though, I have some OLD tapes of him at a Taekwondo tournament from way back. He used to go around to all of the tournaments and do demo fights. It's pretty funny looking. I need to put it on my computer so I can post it.Comment

They will work, if you do them. I have them... used to do it before I found a center around here that I could kickbox, etc, which I enjoy more. But it'll definitely work. It's a TOUGH workout though. Especially the "Boot Camp DVDs"Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Tae bo - Billy Blanks
They work, my wife and I used them for about 2 years straight, 3-4 times a week. They will kick your *** in the beginning though, like WTF said. If you aren't planning on using them 3-4 times a week though, don't bother. The other 3-4 days during the week, make sure you are working out as well, doing something. Walking, whatever. Also, using the tapes doesn't mean you automatically lose weight, cut out the soda pop, fast food, etc.Comment

They do work!!! I have been doing them 3 times per week BILLYS BOOTCAMP since january.. Went to a semi Low carb diet and do push ups and crunches 2 times a week. In January I was 375. Here today I am 305...So Billy's Bootcamp with a diet really works. They are tough workouts. I eat out what I want 2 times per week that really helps outComment

My wife has them and just uses them to add variety to her workouts. She probably uses them 2 times per month. The Boot camp ones look hard, thats for sure.
Myself, I run, play ultimate, or basketball, in addition to lifting when I can. I'm not flexible enough to do the kicks and stuff on Tae Bo."You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams
