Raleigh/Cary People, Video Game Stores?
So tired of Gamestop's BS....any good local places around here? Winston-Salem has a Players Choice which is great, I need something like that here. Friendly people and a good choice of games. Also a plus if they rent DVDs.

You know where Apex is?
There is a great store out on the corner of Highway 55/Highway 64 called Game Crazy. I used to buy games there, me and my girl love going there because you can test out way more games before you buy them.
Mapquest it, give it a try. It's in the Beaver Creek Shopping Strip with Target, Petsmart etc.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

By the way, did you ever find a set of turntables? I thought you were looking for some a while back, and I've given up DJing. I see you are in Gboro now, but let me know if you are interested in some Numark TT 200s that were barely used.Comment

Re: Raleigh/Cary People, Video Game Stores?
Game Crazy is a good 2nd choice out in Apex.
As for local places, there's not much left since EB and Gamestop kept growing. They killed off the local stores.
There had been Buyrite, but that was a debacle of a mess. Long Story.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

I remember going to Buyrite as a kid, being able to try out any video game before you bought it. I remember standing in line around Christmas time with my dad trying to get a Nintendo 64.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Re: Raleigh/Cary People, Video Game Stores?
I believe it's the Brier Creek shopping plaza in Apex. And Game Crazy is a part of the Holllywood Video franchise.
And Buyrite. They were alright when I first moved down here, but then the store became really strange. The owners even stranger. All sorts of rumors that circulated about the place.
The Better Business Bureau shut them down.
Then rumors came out around here that they were arrested on other charges of theft, taking money from orders and running, etc. How many of those rumors are true, who knows, but nothing really surprises me anymore.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment
