Ok, at work today I cut the inside of my lip with a yogurt top... you know those aluminum ones they put on the top... well I was trying to get the yogurt off it and I got a pretty good gash on the lip... anyways, this happened at 2 p.m., and I'm getting a booster shot at 8:30a.m. tomorrow morning... that should be a short enough time to nip this in the bud right? I don't know if my last booster was with in 10 years, but I just want to be on the safe side... I know this sounds crazy, but lockjaw is no joke and I'm kind of getting nervous.

Just go get one anyways as its always good to be immunized against it. The bacteria is nasty stuff...related to gangrene and botulism. Tet**** is pretty much anywhere and although its not too common tet**** can actually enter an already open wound or burn.

I cut my foot on a nail over the summer and needed a shot. They told me in the US 25% of people who contract the bacteria die from it. I think you have 72 hours after contraction to get the shot.
