    K-Rod's name doesn't even begin with K.

    That's what grinds my gears.

That one completely slipped my mind until you said that.

Let me rephrase to "Single letter"-Rod.

        I-Rod
        K-Rod

        Now E-Rod on Boston.
Don't care for those as nicknames or ones like V Mart, Man Ram, J Roll, CarGo, MadBum or J Hey. Or Tulo & Miggy, for that matter.
Give me more nicknames like Death To Flying Things, Country Breakfast, Penitentiary Face, The Human Rain Delay and Tony Plush.
I also loathe any John Sterling nickname: Giambino, Grandy Man & Melk Man.

I agree with you, but E-Rod told Red Sox Nation to call him that after he emerged on the scene last year. Now he sucks though, so I feel like we should stop calling him that.

The first initial-first syllable nicknames must die.

I'm just thankful Javy Lopez didn't go by J Lo, or James Loney for that matter.
Al Holland could have been A Hol, Gale Wade would have been GaWad, if he would have been anyone important.

A-Rod isn't giving us SI covers like this, that's for sure.

Kung Fu Panda was a pretty solid nickname for Pablo Sandoval, before he retired.
