Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I don't think there are ever candy specials. They are placed on racks at the front of the store and are upsold and more prominent leading up to the day but candy doesn't really depreciate much.
In full disclosure though, I don't ever buy candy, this is just from observation at the grocery stores I go to.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I've seen fake Christmas trees selling after Christmas for over 60% off! Given it's a fake tree and already packed away in a box like my current fake one is, it won't exactly be taking up additional space, just replacing current location of the old one.
Halloween candy obviously after halloween you see deals, but I've even seen deals on big boxes in September. Not like candy expires in a short period of time, get the trick or treating candy before anyone else.
Moral of story, be 2-3 steps ahead of people.Comment

Candy definitely goes on sale the day after Valentine’s Day. Also in Alaska my wife and I went to dinner the night before Valentine’s Day since I Work the next day and the food has half off due to it being a day earlier. That’s the only time I’ve seen it like that.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Actually if you pay attention to the candy for any Holiday you will see it's marked up before the Holiday, for example Halloween. So you go buy a bag of fun size snickers to give out and you pay an inflated price before Halloween. On November 1st it says 25% all Halloween candy or whatever price off. Which just brings the price back down to what it normally is anyways. It's just the bags have a Halloween theme on them, making them Halloween candy, so after that day you think you are getting a deal on it and you're not because now it's just priced as it normally is.
Now Easter is a little different because a lot of Easter candy you only see at Easter. Same with some Valentines candy, although now I see they are putting things like Kit Kats and putting them in heart shaped boxes and giving you less and charging you more for it. At Walmart I saw the heart shaped box of Kit Kats for $5 and I could just go over to the candy isle and get a bag for 3-4 dollars with more in it.Comment

Sitting in a dining hall and having breakfast. It's one of those days where I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and I've been feeling depressed about getting dumped. So, of course, the dining hall PA system is playing the radio and it's now played five straight love songs.Ravens----Yankees----Comic Book JunkieComment

Being told plans at the last minute. I can't stand it.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I have a friend who operates this way, I will get a random text asking if I want to catch up for dinner about 2 hours before he wants to meet up. I always tell him I need to plan a little more in advance than that and he always gets pissed, lol.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
My BIL is a cool guy, but whenever my MIL visits and stays with us he always ends up having last minute plans or demands she comes to his house...so annoying that her visit, known in advance, can't be somewhat planned. It's not horrible, but annoying for my wife who likes her help when she's here.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Those aren’t plans then and shouldn’t be referred to as such (and you should say that). That’s “we’re throwing some **** together, you down?”
If I don’t know in advance what’s going on, I can’t participate. Simple as that. I’m fine with that, if the people who are doing things on a whim have a problem with it, well that sucks for them.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
