Gotta love grocery shopping the day before a long weekend, when another lockdown is also coming.

Store is packed, especially with old people who need to look at every item on every shelf even if they dont plan on buying it. Not only do they move slow, but if you're standing infront of a non busy area to check your own list, they'll come fast and need to see what you're standing infront of. I saw one old couple actually pick grape by grape off the vine from one bag and make up their own new bag of hand picked grapes.

And then checking out, some old lady was in line but also getting things while waiting. The lineup was moving ahead while that person was still halfway into the fridge getting milk, so I just went ahead of them (I wasnt previously in line before), only for them to storm out of the fridge and insist I not cut infront of them.

I hate shopping in any sort of crowd. I usually manage to go early enough or just on days I know it won't be busy, so I can avoid those crowds and lines. Today was probably first time since the pandemic began where I dealt with a crowd this size or a lineup this long to check out.

Flashbacks to Hurricane supply shopping here. I like to head out in the early morning too, especially when kids are usually at school. Easier to grab food for my mom and the house.

Maybe I am just getting older and have seen it all, but do all movies seem to just recycle the same ol' schtick? The wife wanted to watch Kong vs. Godzilla for some reason. Sure enough, that whole movie was a movie I watched before despite the gorilla and lizard tearing s%$^ up everywhere with how characters acted, how the plot unfolded, yada yada yada.

Very seldom find a decent movie to watch anymore.

Movies are constantly being remade, and the ones which aren't remakes seem to just follow similar plotlines.

A lot of it is the hype cycle for movies imho.

I've become cynical enough that I hate who Red Letter Media parodies in their "Nerd Crew" videos .

Movies are dying anyways. These giant franchises are the last gasp to get money out of people actually going to theaters (before, during and after covid).

They still make movies about actual people and things, mostly on streaming services.

It grinds my gears that children in most movies are dense as lead. Seriously, it's as if breathing wasn't a reflex, they'd die in their own sleep.

I'm not blaming the actors/actresses, either. They're written and directed this way. It's like there's something wrong with all of them, like they were dropped on their heads once and then dropped again right afterward. It can be a horror movie, drama, comedy, action film, it doesn't matter. It's only worsening over time.

I gotta pop in T2 again, man. John Connor was written so well.

Not necessarily true. When the restrictions are fully lifted, people are going to flock back to theaters. Every once in a while a movie critic comes on to the morning show I listen to. He said that the numbers in China have been record breaking since theaters re-opened. How long that lasts remains to be seen.

I need(ed) to see Kong and Godzilla beat each other up on a big screen with bombastic sound.

Hollyweird needs to think outside the box. instead of Godzilla vs Kong,
they should do a tag-team movie, where Godzilla & Kong are on the same side.
like, Godzilla & Kong vs Freddy & Jason

As long as it has name value and you can slap a $200M budget on it, it's a possibility.

Disney really missed an excellent chance at rehabilitating his image in the Force Awakens sequels:
                              two words - Darth Binks.

and if everybody still hated Jar Jar, it would be alright because it's okay to hate villains

It was a loud character made for 5 year-olds in a movie that a lot of adult fans of the series were really looking forward to. He was in a bad spot from the jump. Plus that movie was a dumpster fire.

The real pain for me when they messed around with the original Star Wars.
