I don't typically order salad out since we typically make a salad once a week to eat off of and my veggies to lettuce ratio is vastly different than most people's.
This is like saying you're going to continue buying multi pack shirts rather than get better clothes if you have the money for it.

New car models that automatically unlock your doors after you put the car on park. GTFO, who told I wanna unlock my doors automatically? Stop it. I'm sure there is a way to turn it off (probably) but I just want to punch someone.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
But speaking of automatic unlocking, I'm not a fan of modern cars being able to unlock and even start up without even needing to take the key out of your pocket. Just feels like too many security risks there. Apparently even if you keep your key far enough away from the car, people have signal boosters that can still make the key work if its further inside your house.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I don't like that my new car's stereo turns off after I shut off the engine. There isn't an option to turn off the engine but not the car, if that makes sense. Sometimes I want to finish listening to something after the car is shut off without killing that momentum, especially if it's satellite radio and I can't have the RW/FF feature after turning it off.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Yes, the increasing presumptuousness of technology is a big gear grinder, automotive and otherwise. My current car is the first one I've ever had that turns the engine off if you're stopped for like 2 or 3 seconds. The first time it happened I thought my engine had stalled out, lol. It won't even activate if the A/C is on it seems, thus defeating the purpose during summer when limiting emissions would be most helpful. You can't even permanently turn it off, you have to turn it off every time you start the car.

My truck has that. I find it annoying because it sure as hell don't save on gas. Only way to permanently turn it off is buying forscan and programming the the vehicle computer to never activate.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Indeed it does; you have to press your foot all the way down on the brake to activate it though, so if you want the engine to stay on you just don't press the brake all the way down. Then when you lift your foot off the break the engine restarts on its own. I'm just nervous about the engine being off; any time your engine turns off there's that extremely slight chance it doesn't come back on again.Comment
