I get you can't track their vehicles (people would probably stalk the driver trying to get their package earlier or wonder why they stopped for lunch or went to other houses first), but there needs to be some accountability if they mess up, or some way for them to contact the driver to find out what happened.

According to the app, my latest order was delivered. I checked, and it wasn't. Not stolen or even delivered based on what my camera shows.

I contacted their CS and they are basically like "the driver likely marked it as delivered, but might just deliver it tomorrow", as if that's normal/ok.

So they basically admit that the driver is cheating the system by claiming packages were delivered on time, but won't actually deliver those packages until the next day, and there's nothing wrong with that?

I'm ok with the package being delivered in 2 days from the day I ordered, as long as the delivery date they give when you order actually says that, but that's not what happened.

Our packages always, always get tagged as delivered hours before we actually get them. It is annoying. It does seem like common practice.

I get why they do it (makes it seem like they deliver faster than they do), but at the same time, this is probably why photos need to be mandatory. Half my orders are accompanied by a delivery pic of where it was left. Wouldn't be surprised if many that didn't have a picture with it were delivered hours after the time, but I just wasn't home to verify that.

I think they should be mandatory now as well. Our last set of packages got delivered to the wrong first, but thanks to the picture that was taken, we realized it was our neighbor across the street.

Mine happened at night. But the following day I still didn't get a delivery. So most likely they did deliver it to the wrong house.

In the past I actually had someone I'm guessing from my street drop it off at my house. Not sure if this time they dropped it off at the wrong house and that person realized it and are sending it back, or they didnt realize it given the time of the evening, and it probably got stolen off their porch at night.

A couple of months ago I had a package marked delivered online and it showed up the next day. First time that's ever happened. They even say on their website FAQ that if it happens to wait until the next day before doing anything about it.

Actually had an order last year that never got marked as delivered, even though it was delivered right on time. Still says it's running late on my orders page.

Usually tracking is weird for me unless it's something super important.

Depending how valuable the item is, I wonder if you could actually get money back for an "undelivered item".

I guess I'm the outlier - I have pretty good experiences with Amazon's delivery. Maybe the worst is a couple times I'll have say that a package out for delivery, but then it doesn't come that day and just shows up early the next.

Never had it marked delivered a day before delivery, or even hours. The most (that I've been home to experience) is maybe 5 minutes? But in those cases I just assume the driver is doing the whole block so they scan them all as they're getting off the truck.

You'd think Amazon would make pics mandatory though, if for no other reason than to cover their *** in situations of missing packages.

A few months ago my daughter had a package delivered and got the notification with a picture. The picture was not our porch. She figured out that it was delivered 2 houses over.

She went down there, knocked on the door and asked for her package. The ****ing teenage girls there had opened it. She got her stuff though.

I once had a package arrive 13 MONTHS late. It had long since been replaced by the sender. [emoji38]

Luckily, I've had few problems over the years with Amazon.

Right? Wouldn't it set them behind schedule, if anything? They'd be playing catch-up the whole time as more deliveries are added.

Was this package delivered by a woman that had been a castaway on a deserted and your package was what kept their will alive to get home to deliver it? I know, silly question but I've seen it happen before.
