IIRC from school, I think "nutrition" was only touched on in one or two gym periods a year.

Even with that it was only the pyramid and basic information that was no more useful than not knowing at all.

Yeah I remember it being taught in elementary school gym class. They actually taught a decent amount. But I highly doubt many others remember.

My hockey team when I was a little kid was terrible. Our town was small and just starting a program. We'd get crushed by teams 10-0 - we were happy when we even scored a goal. They never turned the scoreboard off, it never really bothered us, and no feelings were hurt. We were just happy to be playing hockey. Then a couple years later when we had been playing together for longer, we were able to hang with the teams we played and even win a few games.

Yeah I wouldn't feel terrible losing badly, but that feeling that it was so bad they had to turn the scoreboard off was just so embarassing lol.

Been on both ends of a lopsided score as a roller hockey player back in the day. No mental scars. Just loved playing in an organized league.

Kids gotta take their lumps. Winning AND losing is part of the game.

When I played basketball they would keep score each quarter, but wouldn't run a cumulative total for the game. Parents kept total score.

I've pretty much decided that when/if I have kids, they're gonna eat healthy, play outside, and know what losing is before they hit the real world.

Being that your average adult is bad at math and don't even know our own American history, I don't think most kids paid attention to math and history in school when they were younger.

When you look outside, think oh it looks pretty nice outside, you walk out there and it is very humid.
