I blast AT&T at least once a week on twitter.. I hate that ****ing company. I have put up with their bull **** for five years. They apologize plenty, but never do anything to help or offer any reinbursement. My internet has been going crazy for three days.. it won't connect longer than a few minutes and its usually no longer than 15 seconds and its back to searching for a signal for the modem. If you call them, they claim its on my end, yet they come out and can't find anything wrong. It's a never ending cycle of bull ****. It wasn't too bad, until a few years ago. Someone stole the copper wiring out of the nearest box and ever since they replaced it, my internet hasn't been half as fast as it was and its super un reliable. They don't understand that, though. Their technician claims we were never getting that fast of a service and since we are paying for the best and getting the worst, that is why the service is spotty. Who the **** tells their customer they are over paying ? Long story short, they are out of their minds and can't be reasoned with. I got in a small shouting match with the drugged up tech they sent us, last time, because he stood in our yard with a ****ing remote and didn't touch anything else. Said he was going to check something down the road and then he never came back. That was before we ever had an argument. I had to call them back to get the guy to come back... sorry for not breaking my rant into paragraphs. It's hard to type on my busted HTC.

Hey, lets only do 40 MPH on an interstate on-ramp. Its not like the merging traffic is doing double the speed or anything crazy like that.

Changing lanes on the highway without signaling. I myself have been guilty of it but I always do it now.
Guys riding motorcycles on the highway...all of you.Comment

I hardly ever ride my bike to work. I don't mind it sometimes, but there are a bunch of jackasses out there and its not always worth the risk, even to save on gas. I am wise.enough to know that it goes both ways, though. When I worked close to home, I rode almost every day when the weather was nice. Riding the major intersections in the Birmingham metro can be fun, if you have several people riding.

But when you're in a car...motorcycles seem to defy all laws of the blindspot. And I know you bikers are well aware of this too. But most seem to go for the thrill and risk take.
The very second I catch a bike in my rear view...I lower my music and slow down on instinct until they pass.Comment

I'm sure it's a blast.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
When my wife is forced to drive my old beater car, gets rear ended, I get informed by the insurance company that they'll give me $3,000, and then I get an estimate that it'll only cost me $300 to have it back in perfectly functioning condition, effectively netting me $2,700 profit.
Wait, that doesn't grind my gears at all. Party time.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I wish my insurance company worked like that. I've had State Farm, Progressive, and Geico and they all work the same way.
The adjuster rarely comes to your house, they usually go to the body shop that's fixing it and cut a check for the exact amount it's costing the shop.Comment

It's State Farm, but it's not my insurance company, it's the driver's that did the rear-ending. My vehicle was considered "totaled." They basically gave me two options, take the full cash value of the car (4k) and give the car to them, or take difference between the full value and the salvage value (1k) while keeping the car.
It works out for me in this case because it was damaged in such a way that it doesn't require any extensive repairs to remain functional. I'll keep it, do the minimal repairs, and pocket the rest.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
