A couple gear grinders already today.

Went to the dentist at 10AM, didn't eat breakfast beforehand. I get done and they tell me to not eat anything solid for lunch, and "maybe something soft" for dinner, because the fillings need to dry or something.

Then, I get an email from one of my decently computer savvy (or so I thought) friends. Subject line "haha", and a link. Clicked on the link and it was definitely a spam email. Sigh, time to do a full virus scan.

Do they ever make you do the speed traps? Are the talk of quotas and whatnot true?

The guys you see on highways are typicallys Highway Patrol. I'm a street crimes officer. I'm in neighborhoods only. I have never issued a citation for speeding.

I don't have any quotas but they do look at my arrests and stats.

I got burned once and now I usually can spot the areas all the cops like to prey on people to make some ticket money. It does suck when they hide waiting for you to be cruising down a hill or whatnot.

I don't like it but guess what...if you (or I) go over the speed limit we are breaking the law. I have gotten a speeding ticket in my lifetime (college) and I'd venture out to say most have had at least one ticket.

This happened to me a few months ago when I was at work. I didn't have my glasses on, and I thought I saw my brother walk into the store, he was looking right at me and I waved at him. He didn't do anything, and I got up closer to him and saw it wasn't him, so I pretended I waved at somebody behind him and just walked right by.

Not being able to skip through cut scenes fast enough. I know presentation is important, but sometimes I just wanna get through a game as fast as possible and even though I have the presentation settings with everything off, I still have to sit and wait through so many unnecessary delays.
