Coaches who punt on 4th & inches.
I don't even care what the situation is,
if you can;t move the ball less than a foot you don't deserve to win.

You're up by 4 points with 30 seconds left in the game on your own 11 yard line.

Amount of TV Shows that take place in big cities(New York being the main one)

I just find it annoying how it seems like so many shows today have to be set in New York. What happened to the days when shows used to happen in all diff cities throughout USA(and some in other countries too). Now, you see way too many happening in New York and stuff. I get that New York is huge and everything, but is that really needed?

Many tv shows always seem to have those people in the shows that make fun of other cities, are like "We live in the greatest city in the world, New York City!" and so on. Considering majority of tv viewers aren't from New York,I'm sure there's prob a good amount of people who watch TV that also notice(and possibly hate) how many shows take place in New York.

Even if I were up by 2 points, I'd go for it.
          Now if it's 4th & a couple feet, I AM punting.

            Well that's why you aren't a coach.....

You'd seriously go for it up 2 on your own 11 with 30 seconds left? In which case it'd pretty much be a guaranteed loss if you failed to convert?

Yea, the owner would probably fire you in the middle of the post-game press conference, especially if that move cost you a playoff berth/win.

The universe revolves around NYC. Everything started and was created in NYC didn't you know ?

A lot of people notice it but it don't make the masses hate it, in reality it has the opposite effect, it make everybody want to move there when they get out of college. When I was growing up, every tv show took place in Cali it seemed, so therefore everybody wanted to move to L.A. Cali was that mystical place of tons of blonde women with the perfect body, tons of muscle bound men with the perfect tan. Fancy cars, big houses, pretty beaches.

Having grown up in Chicago, I didn't see the allure of NYC or L.A. Been to one major city, you pretty much been to them all. However living out in a small town now, I hear high school and college age kids talk, they are fascinated with major cities. They all say once they graduate they want to move to NYC because that is where all the action is.

With action, comes a much higher crime rate, much higher cost of living, much higher rent, more taxes, way more traffic, no yard, everybody packed in like sardines in a can. Forget that......I rather live in a small town or a suburb. I like my taxes, cost of living and crime rate low. Plus I like having no traffic and a huge yard.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Let's see... of the shows I watch and am aware of the real-life location.

                        HIMYM - NYC
                        Person of Interest - NYC
                        Bones - DC
                        Whitney - Chicago
                        New Girl - Chicago
Modern Family - somewhere in Cali
                        Last Man Standing - Denver
The League - Chicago I think.
2 Broke Girls - NYC (Brooklyn for specifics I believe)
                        NCIS - DC
                        NCIS LA - LA
                        CSI - Vegas

So New York isn't as prominent as you think unless you watch CBS shows only. I mean, yes, a lot of shows are set there, but Chicago has their share. DC and LA get some as well.

The clutch not being depressed far enough to smoothly change gears or the clutch plate pads are worn and need to be replaced is what grinds my gears, and that's probably everyone else's problem in here too.

Some notables from that list(that I've heard of)
30 Rock,24,Archer,Blue Bloods,Caroline in the City,The Cosby Show,CSI NY,Friends,Futurama,Glee,Gossip Girl. That's just up to G(I got bored naming shows lol)!

I know NYC is viewed as the city the world revolves around, but still...Can't TV SHOWS at least be more original and have shows in more average cities?

The hottest show on TV right now takes place in Albuquerque, NM.
The most critically acclaimed show of the last decade took place in Baltimore, MD.
The highest rated American comedy of all-time took place in Korea.
The highest rated American drama of all-time took place in suburban Texas.

The TV world does not revolve around NYC.
