Speaking of insurance. My grandmother showed me a letter she received in the mail yesterday. Her monthly health insurance costs are going from around $250 to just over $700.....

      Yup.

I've said this on Twitter before. My little brother needs a prescription of Flonase that lasts him about a month or so. It went from a ~$10 copay to just under $175 for it every month.

Thanks to the ACA, next year my health insurance premium is going up $20 a month (not to bad), but copay is increasing, deductible is increasing....woot!

To follow up on that....They also tell you "If you do the homework questions you'll be fine for the test". Then on the test, there's a question that was never even apart of anything we ever did(homework, lecture notes, course website info). Safe to say, multiple people in the class had to ask the teacher a number of questions about that question cause nobody had no idea what to do on it.

lol, seems to happen to me too often. I'm not hungry during times of the day that I should be eating, but I am hungry during the times of the day I shouldn't be eating.

I got off easy on insurance. Mine only went up $1.22 for the same coverage. I could cut it another $20 or so if I switched to HSA, but I like having the HRA if anything were to happen in the short term.

HSA seems like a great plan, and I'd love to switch to it. However, with my wife being diabetic and my son being a toddler, the odds of us going a year w/o some sort of issue is not on my side... not to mention the medication she and I take.

HSA is a good way to fight those higher deductibles and those contributions are tax deductible.
