Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Because when you make a completely unnecessary veiled accusation of racism towards a respected member here, and someone I genuinely like, I'm going to want to complain about it.
And I can't do it here, so where else do I know a ****load of people from this site who would know what I'm talking about?
I've had a night to sleep on yesterday and that was a dick move and I feel bad about that. I also feel bad about the dick attitude I took in the fallout from it.
I don't feel bad about this. You'd be mad too if someone called someone you really liked a racist when you're sure that they aren't that.
This is what he's mad about, by the way.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Because there are some things from OS that are worth discussing - with OSers, mind you - that we can't go into on this site due to the TOS, or because mods have asked posters to move on, or whatever. Some of us want to continue that conversation, so it moves over to Twitter.
98% of people OSers have conversations with on here are on Twitter as well, so the conversation rarely misses a beat. It's one main reason my post count here has dwindled quite a bit - Twitter lets me interact with the same group of people in a much less formal way, without having to worry about what I say because of the TOS.
It grinds my gears (just to bring it back to the thread) that this is such a big deal. We're not allowed to talk about OS on Twitter? This isn't ****ing fight club. It's an internet message board...with rules on this site that most of us like to follow because we enjoy being here. However when those rules prevent a topic from going further, the group discussion moves to Twitter.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Due dates of midnight(when submitting an assignment through the computer). Not because of the time, but just cause of the day.
Sometimes people will be like "___ is due at midnight on Monday". Does that mean 11:59pm on Sunday is the last minute to hand it in, or 11:59pm on Monday is last time to hand it in.
You'll be surprised how many times I've had to ask my teachers to clarify this because sometimes teachers say "___ is due at midnight on Monday" and they really mean the end of monday, while other times they mean if it gets handed in on monday,it's late.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Petsmart. My daughter got some ewok looking puppy for her birthday. My wife signed it up for an obedience class at Petsmart. So of course me and my daughter end up taking it there every week. Well the first week I had to show them the rabies and shot papers etc. Which I did.
Fast forward a few weeks, the dog looks like a mop. So my wife schedules a haircut at Petsmart. Of course my wife has a sinus infection so I take the dog there. Drive in snow and ice and almost kill myself getting there in the process. When I get there, they tell me if its the dogs first time getting a haircut they need to see his papers. I had already shown them to some Petsmart clown when the dog starting the training class.
They refused to cut his hair. Then they made the mistake of asking me if I wanted to reschedule. I wanted to punch that Sea Hag right between the eyes. But I remained calm and I'll see if their corporate wants to compensate me for my time and gas.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
