Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Every NFL player isn't a multi-millionaire
http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/seattle-s...malcolm-smith/
I think he makes 2 million over his contract (not bad).
I do get your point though, Peyton or the like don't need a 50k free car.
Didn't realize any of that. That would kind of suck if a guy didn't even want the car. Having to pay between 2 and 5 G's just for being MVP, haha.
Although hopefully, for him, that money and more would be gotten back in another contract!University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

Television channels with watermarks/banners on movies. Why do I need to be reminded which channel this movie is airing on the entire 2-3 hours I'm watching the movie? What grinds my gears further is that the watermark goes away during commercials.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I read an article about this today, Smith has to pay a tax bill of between $2,500 and $5,700, whether he wants the vehicle or not. If he keeps the vehicle, he has to kick in $21,400.

That's the same nonsense that happens to Oprah car winners.
No one ever knows that. Those people end up footing a tax bill they can't afford because of a gift.

Yep. What irks me further is when you're scanning the Direct TV guide and come across a movie you enjoy.

The first one is the way you should be watching it. Sometimes when ESPN has to play old footage that is in 4:3, they will blur the sides to eliminate the black bars, you may have noticed that before, which is way better than stretching it.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I like when they blur the sides on the 4:3 format videos.
Worst thing is what my current tv provider has where it's black bars around the top, bottom and sides of the screen for a number of shows, it's so annoying/horrible.
Left is how some non hd(and some occasions 4:3) shows show for me, middle is how they should show and right is with the blurred edges that only sports use(though it only looks good for sports)

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
When people send videos of the police "overstepping their boundaries" and the video shows nothing but the person video taping making a complete ******* of themselves, or making themselves look like a fool. I feel like I said this before.
This one going around now says This video from last night at sheetz in moorefield shows where the moorefield officer runs over a innocent man laying on the ground and all but kills him. Lets make our voice heard to stop this. Police think they are above the law.".
The guy is recording the entire time and than all of a sudden the video stops and is skipped forward a few seconds and it just shows a guy rolling around on the ground with a cop standing over him. Absolutely nothing was done, and it's just another **** who is trying to get a viral video.--
Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
To add, it grinds my gears when a station airs an older movie that's in 4:3 aspect ratio, but stretch is to make it look like it's widescreen, so now the picture looks jacked up and distorted. They do this to eliminate the black bars (pillar boxes) on the side and to give the illusion you're watching a widescreen movie.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I raged a little bit this morning.
I hate it...when people are turning left on a road and use part of the oncoming traffic lane in their turn. You literally only have to drive your car two more feet and then turn to avoid driving in an oncoming traffic lane. I don't know if this is a problem everywhere else in the country. But it sure as hell is in Texas.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
To go along with the driving annoyances:
To get to the local Wal-Mart in our hometown (and strip mall / line of food chains) from the highway, there is a two lane turn left into another two lane road that shrinks to one lane after 100 feet. The left hand lane is for people going to Walmart/strip mall/line of food chain and the right hand lane is to get to Wendy's or a local car wash place.
People should know what lane they should get in, but no, that would be too easy. People in the right hand lane try to shift over into the left hand lane, that turns into one lane road. This is the part that pisses me off. Stop trying to turn into this lane, when you could have gotten here from the highway, but no, you tried to get in the shorter lane and then cut into the lane. I won't have any of it. I keep at the same speed as the person in lane, so they can't turn in, unless they stop and hold up traffic, or go through with their mistake, which would take five seconds to fix by turning around in the Wendy's parking lot.
Seriously, learn which lane of a turnoff goes where, so you won't hold up traffic and frustrate people in the other lane.NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers

You know what really grinds my gears?
Feeling like I'm doing something shady when I'm just being a regular person.
I'm house sitting/dog watching for my Dad, and some neighbor (who I didn't even recognize...) was grilling me hard as ****. Perhaps it's my extra puffy jacket or something. But they stared me down all the way out of the driveway and down the hill. I should be suspicious of them as I lived there 20 years and I've never seen this person. Why they gotta come all the way out to the edge of their driveway to smoke a cig? You're sketching me out, person!

He was probably a ne'er-do-well.
He was just grilling you because he figured that would make you think he was a neighbor. Then after you left he could steal.YNWAComment
