Still going on about boxers and front doors. Oh well, guess I'll join in.

This is why I hate cushioned toilet seats because you're practically forced to drop your pants all the way down since you need one hand to hold the seat up and prevent it from falling back down while you're peeing and your other hand to aim.

Yeah, I never use the front door, just pull the front of my pants and boxers down. Also, all of my current boxers have a button to hold the door closed, though when I first switched to boxers from briefs in high school, the ones I got didn't have them so that was kind of annoying and the main reason I started sleeping in sweat shorts instead of just my underwear and a t-shirt.

Finally, I'm not quite sure what the difference between boxers and boxer briefs is.

If you are going to drop trou to pee, then hell might as well go all the way and sit down on the toilet to pee. What's next ? OSers going to tell me they take off their shirt in order to take a dump ?

Boxers are the loose short type things.

Boxer briefs are the same length, but tight. Think like sliding shorts/under armour type stuff, just different materials (sometimes.)

Well, I already know of I think 2 OSers who do just that through twitter conversations.

I never wear dress clothes, so that must be the reason. Most of the time I'm just lounging around with comfy pants/shorts and just lower the waist band, which can also be used for balance/aim.

I've changed over to the Adidas Climalite Boxer-Briefs, no front door. They are snug where they need to be; and elastic around the waist band so I can drop 'em low enough to Drain the dragon, without exposing my Derriere to passing by dudes at the Urinal. I can get in, get out, without a lot of hand action.

Plus they are Sports styled underwear, so they are compression like and keep that area fairly sweat free and comfortable. Only downside is that they are pretty expensive. A pack can run you like $28 bucks. But with underwear I don't mess around I believe you get what you pay for, and I was done with the ****y Hanes underwear that overstretched after a month, and felt too loose.

See I could do that when I wear mesh shorts but that's pretty much just on the weekends.

I can't imagine having to undo the belt, pull the pants down and then re-tuck my dress shirt in every time at work just to take a piss.

You only have to tuck the very front in. I'm not in dress clothes at work, but I do tuck my shirt in, so I do it all the time.

I think there's a general misunderstanding as to how the no-front-door guys take a piss. We're not dropping out drawers. It's a simple unbutton, unzip, then lowering of the underwear waste band only in the front.

I'd explain it in the way that it's only dropping the pants and draws 1/4th of the way down and in the front.

(Caveat is that you need a fairly elastic waistband to accomplish this unless you are a slimmer/narrower waist guy) Which I have always been so I could imagine heftier guys would prefer looser fitting boxers, with the front door.

I prefer to at least have the front door as an option even though I don't always use it. I can pretty much only wear Hanes comfort waist boxes and they have the door, so it works out.
