That stupid Burger King commercial where the two guys can't decide whether to eat that extra long bbq cheeseburger the long way or the short way. It's just stupid because who would ever look at food that shape and think hmm maybe I should eat this from the side? To me it'd be like someone eating a hot dog from the side/middle instead of from the end. Stupid.

No NCAA football. Now is the time I'd really be gearing up for it. Smh.

Yeah, I'm dyin' for a new sports title. UFC is just not cutting it, and The Show is not enough right now.

The fact that non sports games don't hold my attention long enough to complete them. Better storytelling and gameplay needed.

I'm the opposite. FIFA aside, I'm getting bored with sports games.

And I feel like we're in the golden age of storytelling in video games.

Me too...I'll probably get Madden this year so I have a copy for when my niece comes over, but I don't end up having time (or desire) to play sports games as much. I find the single player games with storylines are infinitely more enjoyable for me.

I couldn't agree more. FIFA has stolen my soul, but nothing else does it for me anymore. I think I'm becoming less of a sports fan overall as I get older which is definitely impacting that. But games like Watch Dogs have almost infinite replay value, and I can jump on for 30 minutes at a time and get a ton done.

Agreed with the top part. FIFA and FM (and PES, depending on how far we're going back) have been the only sports games worthy of a purchase from me for a lonnnnnng time. I'd get 2K on PC and mess around with the mods, but that never lasts long. Tried in on the PS4. Regretted it.

Disagree with the bottom part, however. If I were to really sit down and think things out, I don't know if we'd have a top-10 story game in the past couple years. Maybe one, if I'm feeling generous to this era.

I will say, that the... I don't know what the right word is here to properly convey what I'm trying to... immersion? (something like that, but more about the world building and getting sucked into that world, storytelling aside) blows a lot of the stuff out of the water, just due to the technology. Bioshock Infinite had a pretty average-to-above-average story (nothing to write home about), but you could just feel that world come to life and it made the game a fantastic playthrough. It was so finely crafted.

Then you look at the best selling games (GTA, Skyrim, etc.) and there really is nothing but **** storytelling in those games.

FIFA and NHL are only sports games I've play consistently for a few years now.

NCAA 14 was a solid game, though.

                          Can't wait for NHL 15.

I'm with Jesse. On the flip side of the coin, you have RDR which, gameplay wise, was just a refurbished GTA, that had a story so good I'd give me left teste to experience again. The latest "hot" game, Watch_Dogs, felt more like a TV show than a video game. Hell, LA Noire WAS a damn movie. It was an interactive movie. That also goes for The Last Of Us.

You're always gonna have RPGs and Sandbox games, but the story-driven games are getting more and more popular.

When someone isn't talking to you,but you think they are(and other way around, when they are talking to you,but you think they aren't).

Most recently happened to me yesterday. It was just me and 2 other people in one place(we were all probably 20-30 feet away from each other, but we all know each other) and nobody was talking. Then one of them(the one closest to me) asks a question and then I answer, and then that person just looks at me like I'm crazy and then signals that they're talking to the other person.........Like I'm supposed to guess you were talking to them when nobody said anything for awhile and you just asked a question without specifying who you were talking to?

And other times, when someone is talking to me,but I don't think they are talking to me so I don't bother paying attention at all,and then they get mad thinking I'm intentionally ignoring them.

Watch_Dogs and LA Noire, to me at least, just show that the method of telling the story is getting better. Not that the stories themselves are better. It will come with time, I hope. I miss some of the grand, sweeping epic stories we got in past games. Same thing with Heavy Rain. I enjoyed all 3 (though out of those 3, Watch_Dogs was by far the worst of them personally.) LA Noire and Heavy Rain didn't have stories that I would write home about, but the delivery method for them was refreshing and hopefully something that can get explored more as this generation rolls on.
