Is your GPA better within your major? Put that on your resume instead.

I was quoting the guy above me.

But to add on to what you said, it's accepted to only put your gpa from the last 60 hours.

-Assignments being due Friday mornings. WTF is up with this?

Maybe the first point would be better if you turned stuff in before any type of deadline even hits?
I do, mainly because I work on Fridays. But I'm used to most online submissions being due at midnight the night it's due, not like midday or morning.

Also, I don't put my GPA on my resume anymore. If they want it, they can ask for it.

I have never looked at GPA on a resume of someone I'm interviewing.

Sorry, your quotes didn't work and I skip over and don't read that bold type. It's not easy on the eyes and with all the time as I spend on the computer with work and life I don't need the extra strain.

I'm curious what kind of work you're interviewing for and what gets college grads through the screening process without a GPA on the resume.

                Speaking of smoking..

I let someone ride with me, when we went out Friday and he was going to light up a cigarette in my vehicle, without even asking. The rest of my friends know how I feel about it and respect my decision to not allow it in my vehicle, but this guy has never rode with me. I still thought he should have asked first..

I don't allow anyone to eat or smoke in my car.. just how I feel about it.

I've interviewed a few people at work and GPA isn't even involved. The typical application only requires that someone state the level of education i which they have received..

I assumed he was looking for a job right out of school, some kind of entry position. I've always been told your GPA is only going to matter one time in your life and that is your first job. Which makes total sense, with so many college grads out there you might as well throw out the ones who were to lazy to acquire at least a 3.0(I don't know what is considered good in the professional world). I wasn't saying some 32 year old needs to put his GPA from 10 years ago on his resume.

Alright, I'm sure I've did some boneheaded things in my life, but here is one for the wives.

My wife approaches me with the CC bill and said, see what this is all about. It was called BBV *Hotmoviesale.com. There was a charge for $19.95.

I entered that website into Google and the first site says it's a scam that has fine print if you purchase a movie from them, they will charge you $19.95 per month to find movies that cost less. There was a toll free number to cancel membership.

I called the toll free number and I thought this purchase was around Xmas. So, I cordially told the person cancelling membership and she said no problem, name and zip code. I gave her that, and asked her politely how long have they been charging us. She brought up the record and said, April 2010. My only reaction was, Oh, wow. I said for what movie and she said, Law and Order Season 6.

So, we paid over $400 for all of season six of Law and Order SVU. Of course, after being married for 24 yrs, I casually said, Oh, must have been an over-sight by you.

Of course, if it was me that was responsible for this, I would have been read the riot act. Geez, I wonder what we will do with that extra $200 we are saving per year. NFL Sunday Directtv ticket, here we come.

She is the accountant in the family because that is her career and she is responsible for the payment of the bills. Oh my........

When girls whine about how they can't find a guy that treats them right and other emo stuff on Facebook, then the next day put a status up complaining about how people need to mind their own business and worry about themselves.

God forbid you don't have scissors handy. Teeth somehow becomes the next best option. Then curse words.

Seriously though, I know what you mean. It never fails that I'll be watching a football game or NASCAR race when nature calls then when I'm answering natures call, something big happens.

Right now, my throat. I had a cold that caused sinus drainage giving me a sore throat. As that was clearing up, it caused canker sores to sprout up and now my uvula is swollen. It was a little hard getting to sleep with sore throat pain, but sleeping with a uvula making it feel like something is stuck back there? Ugh.
