Someone decided to drive by my neighborhood and start honking the horn. And it was after 1 AM too.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Watching tv commercials has gotten more and more annoying.
50% of commercials have to do with cars, 30% have to do with banks.
Basically same several commercials all the time and it gets annoying. I skip commercials when watching regular shows, but I can't "DVR delay watch" sports games.
And these skin care commercials are annoying. I'm eating, I don't want to see insanely close up HD shots of peoples faces before and after using some skin care thing.Comment

I don't see many bank commercials. I see mostly cars and alcohol related commercials.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Car commercials are the worst because they're so bootleg and cheap. Usually with a super annoying catch phrase and ****NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
To those that do the laundry for spouse, girlfriend, fiancee and/or rest of the family....
Why am I the only one in my household that can take off a shirt normally... Like straight over the head? Others in my house (wife and daughter) remove shirts so they are inside out ALL the time. This must add 5-10 minutes when folding laundry...
Gonna start hanging or folding their shirts inside out to get the message across...

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Back to talking about TV......Sports scorebugs where the ads are bigger than everything else. You have the teams, the score and the time left in such small text, and then half the scorebug ends up being advertising logos or just the logo of the station.Last edited by Majingir; 03-16-2014, 05:56 PM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
Gun fights in movies or TV shows. It might be two guys 20 feet apart, the most expert badass shooters of their time, yet in wide open spaces no one can shoot the other. Eventually one guy gets nicked in the arm
Or a hero vs 100 assailants with assault rifles, grenades, missiles, etc... and nothing hits him. Then our hero picks off the bad guys one by one while on the run, jumping, barrel rolling, or whatever. Come on!Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
For me the general commercial rotation is cars/phones/insurance, unless it's Comedy Central (from previous gear grinder) and their constant ASPCA ads and hungry children ads in the afternoon.
Then there's those diabolical bastards that know exactly when I'll be hungry and start spamming pizza spots, that's a tough internal battle to win.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Sportscasters talking about stuff other than sports and thinking they know what they're talking about. (Costas comes to mind.)Last edited by Segagendude; 03-16-2014, 08:06 PM.Comment

You would've never liked Phil Rizzuto then. It could be Tie game bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th and he'd be talking how to properly prepare and cook a chicken.
