Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
They do this with video games as well; the other week I saw two separate threads regarding whether the thread creator would buy this year's edition of The Show. We don't care, champ (that's short for champion).Comment

Originally posted by JHamilton9That's it. I'm officially done with gear grinders.
In fact, gear grinders haven't been any good since before the internet. Back then, we had to go to the bar to announce our gear grinders. Back then, I would get an instant reaction from my captive, drunken audience. I didn't have to wait hours for a text reply and maybe get a like or two. Gear grinders were so much better back then.
I'm over it... until the next brand new gear grinder. I'll take a look at it... I might laugh at it or completely agree with it... but I won't completely enjoy it. I might re-read it, but I'm definitely done. That's how done I am with it. Done. Done. Done.
instead, all you hear is how annoying everyone elses ringtone is, especially that guy last week in line at the walmarts, ringing in with Queen's Under Pressure.
I never hear anyone with something interesting like mine (which is Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby)

gear grinders were great when they were original. you don't hear things anymore like ''I hate the cord on my phone, it's too short, doesn't stretch to the kitchen (or too long, gets tangled when I take into the restroom, or out to the mailbox).

I had my text message notification sound as the Sonic ring sound for a while
An unrelated gear grinder, people who don't pick up their damn trash when they leave. I have a lake/retention pond thing across the street. People come to fish, dunno if they catch anything. Dude was there yesterday and left his entire McDonald's meal in the grass and left.Last edited by LambertandHam; 03-30-2022, 10:10 AM.Comment

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?
I know some stores make you have to put in a quarter to get the cart. Once you return it, you get the quarter back.
So if you do leave the cart somewhere and don't care about the money, the worker having to get it at least gets a quarter out of it.
Now that would be a decent tip if you're working a Walmart parking lot or something with dozens of carts just left all over every hour.
I return it no matter what, even if it's free to use ones. But I often just park near one of the cart return areas anyways so its easier/faster.Comment

Most of the time at Aldis I just give my cart to someone on the way up. Especially if they're older or it's someone wrangling their kids to go into the store.Comment

When people don’t go zoom zoom down the highway on-ramp.
We’re supposed to be at highway speed by the end to safely merge. It’s not a side street.

It's up there with the *******s who go 50-60 down a residential street to have to break to merge/turn onto the main street.Comment
