Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Now that my internet is out back home I felt I should bump this and say that the people who "help" you on the support lines grind my gears.

You wait 20 minutes to listen to them say "unplug it and plug it back in". Oh really? The 27 times I previously tried it didn't work, but hopefully the 28th will do the trick!

Oh and with my recent surgery I have to say having plastic pieces shoved up your nose grinds my gears. I get to go get them pulled out in about 3 hours...yipee

I hate when DJ's replay the same part of a song 20 times then when they finally let the song go they bring it back to the beginning just for fun.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I hear you. Adding to that I hate it when they switch songs every 30 seconds. It's about to get a good point and you can't even get in the flow of the song because they switch it up wayyyyy tooo much.

I hate when my Explorer 7 browser shuts down by itself. It happens like 5-6 times a day!

The problem is that Firefox wouldn't let me log in to some sites. I can't log in to my e-mail and some forums.

That's why there's an extension called Open in IE Tab.

I'll look for that because I never knew about it. Anyway, for some reason a lot of local sites here are stupidly built to work only on Explorer

You're in Israel right? Perhaps that is the reason some sites only work in IE.

Yeah, that's what I meant. It's stupid to built sites only for Explorer...and that's another thing that grinds my gears!

Being from Toledo, I can understand that. If anybody has heard of the awesomeness of Mayor Carty Finkbiener, they would understand. Some of his big ideas:

Move all deaf people by the airport so they will not have to complain about the noise from incoming planes... nevermind the fact that many deaf people can hear vibrations.

To make Toledo a city businesses want to stay, we need to spruce up the city, by means of flowers. Toledo has a flower budget. I don't even want to spend the time to talk about all of the "signage" that was added "Toledo, a city with pride". Yes, that makes all the businesses flock to Toledo... oh wait... they are leaving.

Carty once had a spectacular event that is really awesome for a law abiding mayor. He was in his car, and noticed that a car was speeding. Carty then sped himself, running multiple red lights, and pulled over the car to tell them that they were speeding, and gave them a warning.

When Glenn Beck came to Toledo, on his radio show that morning he just spent the entire morning destroying Carty and some of his "great" ideas. Left or right, his ideas are often insane and more often than not, fail.

You know what grinds my gears, the legal system and women.

My dad's friend got a divorce from his wife (she was sleeping around), and he moved to an apartment. He was only allowed to see his kids twice a week, due to the kids living with their mom during the school year. Well his ex-wife decided it'd be funny to move next-door to him in a different apartment (directly behind his apartment).

Now it gets nuts. Their kids would walk out back and play in the backyard. They would often walk into their father's backyard (backyards were connected), and then the guy's ex-wife took him to court saying he was disobeying the court order and visiting his kids more than the two days a week.

So they go to court, and as you can imagine, the judge tells the father he is forbidden to see the children other than his two days, and that if he contacted them again outside of those days, he'd end up in jail. Well, the guy ended up having to move out of his apartment, because his kids wouldn't stop coming over. Can you blame the kids though? They just wanted to see their father.

So now his kids are upset, because they think their father doesn't want to be with them. When in fact, it's their bitch of a mother that totally screwed their father over. It makes me sick that the Judge would rule this way. The guy moved into his apartment first, and then his wife followed him. But, because she's a woman, he is the one who has to move.

Edit: And the reason he can't see them more than those two days, is because they have school. His ex-wife stayed in their house, which was on the other side of town. And because the school was over there, the judge gave custody to the mother because she lived next to the school. Now what I don't understand is why this ruling was still intact when she moved right next door, meaning the school reason had no merit anymore.
