Yeah, definitely visit the colleges before choosing. I visited WVU, it sucked ***. Other then paryting at the school, there really isn't **** to do. I went to FSU with my cousin before I applied there, it was good. Only downside would be I had to dorm. Which I have no problem with, but financially it sucks. Once I realized I wasn't going to dorm, I had to choose somewhere in NJ. Went to Rutgers.

3, UConn, Central Connecticut, Western Connecticut.
I wanted to go to UConn, didn't know if I could get in. If not, I didn't really care where I went, just wanted to go to a school and live away from home. So I just visited 2 of the other state schools, and liked Central better, thought I was going to go there, but then got in off the wait list for UConn so I went there.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: How many...
For undergrad I applied to Saint Michael's College, Quinnipiac College (now University), and Georgetown. I should have gotten into all 3, but Georgetown's alumni interview made sure all of her daughter's friends got into the school at the expense of others, me being one of them.
For law school, I applied to WNEC, Florida Coastal, Hofstra, and a few others. Hofstra was my first choice but they lost my application and when they finally rectified it I didn't get in.Comment

Re: How many...
I wish here in Israel we had that. We have maybe 2-3 dozens of colleges here and about 7-8 universities and few more institutions. The problem is people here have a hard time to be accepted to fields like medicine or psychology. Some people have to apply to those private colleges where it costs about as twice as in the uni's. In addition, a lot of poeple here go abroad to study (US, Italy, England, eastern Europe etc.). Although the tuition fee in the US is about 3-4 times than it's here (at least for foreign students), many people can't study here and have to do it abroad. My Specs:

3. Applied to Northeastern, Emerson and UMaine (Orono)
I really wanted to go to school in Boston and Northeastern gave me a pretty good package so that's where I went.Comment

Re: How many...
I was one for one. That being South Carolina. I often call this place a circus because man you see so many characters here and just about anyone can get in. Also for a state institution it feels like there are a lot of people from outside the state. I always wonder what draws people to this place. The state of Maryland has some dirt on South Carolina because there are a ton of people from there here.
I did not take a tour or anything like that.Comment
