Jayzus, what is it with you guys and chain restaurants? Take a walk on the wild side and actually try a local joint. Better food in most cases, and the money is staying local.

Chain restaurants usually are far inferior to local joints.

I've only seen one in NJ but I know there are a couple in the Northeast.

As others have said it's alright for a chain restaurant, but there's much better local Italian restaurants that cook everything fresh. I think I've only been to an Olive Garden once or twice because there is so many great local Italian places by me.

Their breadsticks are awesome, but other than that, it's pretty average.

Local Italian restaurants are much better than Olive Garden.

i've been to Houlihans in Orlando. Not too bad. I prefer Olive Garden though. I could eat breadsticks all day.

Your dad is right.

Olive Garden is basically Stouffer's frozen Italian food microwaved and served on nice plates. You're MUCH better off visiting a local Mom and Pop Italian restaurant where food is prepared fresh with real Italian recipes.

Agree 100%, Olive Garden is pure crap.

We have 3-4 local Italian places that are pure heaven to eat at, never a wait, and the price is a fraction of Olive Garden. We haven't been there in years.

I've only seen one in NJ but I know there are a couple in the Northeast.

There's a couple of them in NJ I've seen at least 5 or 6 of them. The one chain that's everywhere in Jersey though is Applebees. Traveling on any commercial highway there's one every 10 miles.

Not sure how common they are in the states but when we go to Orlando every year, next door to us at the hotel is a pizza place called sbarro. They do great pasta.

Man Applebees is EVERYWHERE. NY, NJ, CT.... There's always one somewhere. Not close to McDonald's in the amount of restaurants but sometimes it feels as if they are getting there!

I only get spaghetti at Italian restaurants anyways, so it's like any other place.

It's damn near impossible to **** up spaghetti.
