Although, I wonder what a jury would do? It would be like in "A Time to Kill".

I saw half of that over the weekend...Missed the end (it was getting late). I think a jury would have to convict, no matter what the motivation. Vigilante justice isn't allowed. Also, what if the guy was innocent? He'd never get his shot at a trial to defend himself. Granted I bet he's guilty, but you get my point.

I'd be pissed off if that was my child too...since I don't have any kids it's hard for me to fully relate, but I'd be right there with the beatdown/kill people.

I hear what you are saying, but let me tell you something. Your kid will need you more. I work at J. hall and most of the kids here don't have a dad in the picture, not saying your kid will become a thug, but maybe it will be better to let the Law do their job. It is tough though. I pretty sure I would go kill the guy, but I don't know if that is the best for my kid kid.

Agree 100%, and honestly, I wouldn't even know what to think. I can't even imagine it fully in my head, so it's hard to say what I'd truly do. But I know that the teacher is one hell of a sick F.

I would want to kill the guy, but doing that would not be best. You kill the guy, not only has your child went through what she did, she will now not have her father in her life anymore.

Why do you think we have temporary insanity laws? Just because you offed the perv doesn't mean jail time if you have a semi-competent attorney.

There is always a chance though. I mean looking at the big picture, yes he hurt your child and you would want to kill him, but if you did and did have to go to prison, don't you think that your child would suffer more growing up without her father?

They definitely would, which is why the only logical thing we can do is implement the death penalty for child molesters.

Yep that is what I say. Working a J Hall a lot of the kid there have no father in the picture. I just pray that never happen to my kid. I probably would do something crazy. Personally I think going to jail is a better punishment than someone killing him. Prison guys don't like these kind of criminals. It will not be a pretty sight for him.

This is so true.

I hate to be one of those people who say I would do this or I would do that because you just never know what you would do. I will say though, I might be like one of those people you see in court on TV who dive over a bench and start pounding on someone.

If someone ever did that to one of my kids, I'd make him play the "taste game."


(Meaning him tasting his own blood)

A couple of right hands to his face, would be the first of his troubles. But I agree, that spending time in jail is more of a punishment then the death penalty. However, I don't want to bring politics into this discussion, because we all know people have different beliefs on what the 8th Amendment actually means.
