i think EVERYONE has had one....

one time there was a guy desperately looking for Marvel vs. Capcom for the X-Box, he said all other stores were out.....I over heard him talking with the cashier....and told him I had one at home id sell to him....he told me if I went and got it hed buy it off me for $100.....

So of course I go straight home b\c im about 15 mins aways and this dude really buys it off me..........lol

funny thing is, I rebuy the game a month later for $35 out of this small gamestore I go into....he mustve really wanted that game......true story

I went in there a few weeks back and talked to a guy who knew alot about videogames. I was truly amazed.

I went to get Call of Duty 2 for a friend and the cashier and a guy in the store were having an in-depth conversation on and in the Klingon language. I had no idea what they were talking about until I asked and one of the guys told me it was from Star Trek.

A guy honestly tried to not sell me NCAA 2005. Kept trying to sell me some preowned Final Fantasy games and such.

Haha, it destroyed gaming for me as well. I used to get a ton of games (for my standards, I was nowhere near EG territory) but lately I'm just getting games I know I'll play for a long time instead of getting games like Halo 3 which I would get bored of in 2 weeks.

The sad thing is, I really enjoyed working there up until the cool manager left and this complete douchebag came in as manager. I was getting good hours, liked my coworkers, and it was an easy job. The new manager had me working 8 hours a week at best, so I decided to quit because it wasn't worth working for an idiot like that. Now there is a new manager at the store I worked at, and I was in there one time talking about how I used to work there and then he told me how the regional manager told him a story about how I quit, but the manager didn't mark me eligible for re-hire and **** like that.

Walked into the old one here in Tuscaloosa and the cashier was munching on some Chic Fil A and I was asking about NCAA '04 and the dude called me an amateur and told me to leave. I left and came back 2 weeks later and I asked about him and he had been promoted to manager. A huge WTF look came over me. I hate that place.

Walked into the old one here in Tuscaloosa and the cashier was munching on some Chic Fil A and I was asking about NCAA '04 and the dude called me an amateur and told me to leave. I left and came back 2 weeks later and I asked about him and he had been promoted to manager. A huge WTF look came over me. I hate that place.

Who uses "amateur" as an insult? (not counting the Anchorman quote)

Went in to buy MLB '07 the show for the PS3. Walked in there were to middle aged ladies working, one behind the counter and one putting games on the shelf. Asked the lady behind the counter for a copy of the game. The other lady hears me and brings over a copy of MLB 2k7.

Me: No I wanted MLB The Show
clerk: oh ok
she opens up the game case and puts the disk in
Me: No I wanted a new copy
clerk: This is new
Me: Your going to charge me full price for a game thats been opened. How do I know your not selling me a used copy.
clerk: Well this is the last copy I have.

I walked out the store and walked across the street to Wal-Mart. Thats the last time I have been to a EB/Gamestop.

I had called over there about the time that APF came out and I wanted to see if they got it in early. The guy told me, "Yes, we just got it in, we have a bunch." I said, "You have APF 2K8?" He was certain. I said, "Just to be certain, what's on the cover?"
