    Sports Jerseys

Any recommendations where to buy old jerseys? I'm looking for a Barry Sanders jersey and would prefer to spend $80-$100. I've looked quite a bit online but can only seem to find them for $150+. Am I not gonna be able to find it within my price range (other than used on eBay)?

Unless you want fake one's you're going to have to go to ebay or pay the crazy prices. Ebay doesn't just have used ones though, there are people who sell new or unworn ones.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Ebay is shady when it comes to jerseys. I wouldn't trust 75% of the sellers. I don't know if you want an authentic one or not, but sellers seem able to claim anything about their items without it being at all accurate.

yeah. overall ebay is a terrible idea.

ive had great luck with older marino authentics with the spandex siding and ironed on numbers.

theres nothing to really FAKE about those.

i would definetly look for an early era lions jersey and nothing past 96

That's why you need to be smart about it. I've gotten some really nice real authentic jerseys for cheap. Oh and if you do go to ebay watch out for a jersey with something like "Players of the Century" on it, they are Mitchell and Ness fakes and people will advertise them as Mitchell and Ness so make sure you look at the pictures close.

Yeah definitely use caution when on Ebay. I'm just too pessimistic when it comes to people and honesty especially if a sale is involved.

people on ebay also love to make "throwback" jerseys with blank surplus jerseys from nike.

This is the truth, I learned this the hard way when I picked up a Jerry Rice jersey off ebay and it showed up and the name plate was crooked and the inner crap from stitching the numbers and name on were still there, it was a joke.

At the same time Ive also picked up a Steve Largent and Chad Johnson jerseys from ebay with zero problems, just make sure you do a ton of homework on the seller and the items you are checking out. If you are looking for a good website with a bunch of authentic jerseys try Distant Replays, here is a link to that website, they also sell jerseys in basketball, baseball etc.
