Sorry to hear that jmood. Always tough to lose a grandfather but at least he lived a long life.

      Re: My grandfather died

My condolences to your family. 100 years is a full life so at least he got that. Heck, 75 years now a days is a full life. My grandfather was 96 when he died so it made it a little easier for me to deal with it.

Hey jmood, sorry to hear about this man.

My Grandma had Alzheimers for about five years before she passed a few years back. I was so sad to see her go. We were always so close before she got sick, and basically became a different person. I know she's in a better place now, watching over us everyday.

I wish the best for you and your family in this awful time and hope that you can all help keep eachother strong. God bless.

My grandfather had alzheimer's. It's such a horrible disease and difficult to watch anyone go through it. Like you said, at least he's not sick anymore.
Yeah alzheimers sucks, at times he would forget who my dad or my uncles were and he ran away a few times because he thought that my grandma was trying to kill him. I really hope a cure is found sometime soon.

Alzheimr's sucks alot. It is a huge burden if it gets serious enough.

                            Sorry for your loss, Jmood.

                                Re: My grandfather died

I'm sorry for your loss. My grandma was sick for a long time and even though its sad they are gone, its a relief that they don't have to go through that pain anymore. That's awesome that he was part of that great musical period in American history.

My grandpa took it pretty hard when grandma died but he went back to the Philippines to die in his homeland. He then for the last 3 years partied his *** off, smoking, drinking and eating whatever he wanted before he said his last goodbyes last year. What a way to go out at 88.
