Hey guys,

As some of you know, I do a little sports broadcasting, serving as the network studio host of the Cal Bears ISP Sports Network. Most of the time, people have a difficult time understanding how I can do that from North Carolina.

Recently, a TV station here in town did a story on the company I work for (ISP), and what they do. Here's the link to the story. When they show the white board listing all the games for that day, you can briefly see my last name written in on the Cal @ UCLA broadcast.

I realize not everyone is interested in what I do, but for those of you who asked, here is a pretty good explanation.

Funny you posted in this thread. I'll actually be the studio host for the Georgia Tech basketball game this Saturday. If you're around a radio, you should tune in!

Here's the funny thing...I don't think we're allowed to. Everything is so pristine and new in there (the building just opened 2 weeks ago), that I'd be afraid I'd scuff up the floors. That video board is damn cool too, though. They usually have some type of ballgame showing on it, and you can see it from the street outside. It's our own little mini-Times Square.

I'd be fired, because I'd do that all day, or I'd sit in the cheap seats throwing popcorn at anyone who walks in.

TJ, a couple of questions, cuz I'm curious:

How does one get into sports radio? What kind of qualifications do sports radio networks look for? Is it a full-time thing for you?
