Dirty conscious, for what? Defending myself from someone trying to amputate my hand for no reason?

Based on the info given, I would shoot him, and feel absolutely no remorse. More complicated situations might warrant a different action, but this is pretty simple.

This is a no-brainer in every sense of the word. Anyone that is pursposely trying to cause serious harm to me would be shot. Though in this situation, I might shoot the guy in both knee caps or elbows instead. I don't know why, but I'd always rather see the bad guy suffer than get off easy and just die. So that being said, I'd rather pop two in each of knee caps, maybe one in each hand and let him live the rest of his life in a wheelchair...after all the guy wanted to take my hand for no reason.

Not sure if anyone saw Shooter, ****Spoiler****but I'd have much rather seen Danny Glover get seriously injured and paralyzed than take a bullet to the throat and die a quick death. I can't stand it when evil people get off easy.

Also, while the memory may flash in your head over and over, deep down, I know it would have been the right thing to do both legally and morally. If someone physically hurt my daughter it would be the same thing. To me it would be a justified retalliation and I could live with that.

Say if you were presented this situation which ONE would you chose

A. Dude has your hand is on a table and he has a machete ready to cut that hand off of yours

B. You however have a gun pointed to the middle of his skull. And we know what possibilities that presents




You either come out with 1 hand and walk free with no bodies on your resume

Both hands with 1 body on your resume

Pick your poison

What are you trying to tell us? Were you put in this situation and chose situation 'B'?

Pull the trigger without thinking. If someone is trying to cause serious harm to me or my family... come on.

Two things, you can still get out of this without putting one to back of the head.

Two, why would a guy even attempt to do anything if he has a gun stuck to the his head. His chances of dying are really high regardless if he cuts or not.
