Fortunately I was able to take the test again in November and this time used Bar/Bri's review course. I took all of the sample tests that I could and studied my *** for this exam. And then exam day came and the real MPRE was about 100x more difficult than any of the practice exams I took. I was confident I did well but I still had a lot of doubt as to how I did and was worried I'd be taking the Connecticut Bar Exam in February, Connecticut only requires a grade of C or better in Professional Responsibility, I had a B.
I got my score back today, I needed an 85 and I got a 130, a 50+ point improvement from August. Now I am good to take the bar exam in any state and most importantly Massachusetts. Man it feels good to have this weight off my shoulders, it really does. This also gives me confidence that when I properly study for something like that I can excel, which is what I need going into the bar exam in February.
Now I can move on to my master plan. I am going to take the Massachusetts Bar exam in February 2008. Given that I will put the needed effort into this and am taking Litvin and the Bar/Bri course I am confident I will pass the first time. Presuming that is the case, I will then take Connecticut's Bar Exam in July 2008 and possibly New Hampshire's as well just so that I can expand my job search.
But for today I am riding high and can finally take a sigh of much, much needed relief.
