Ok here is the deal. My girlfriend and my birthdays are coming up soon. Her's is the 27th mine is the 28th to be exact. I want to find nice place to go out to. The problem is she likes Italian, I like steak. I like Italian too, but I am very finicky with the Italian gravy (pasta sauce for those not in the know). A bad Italian gravy can ruin a pasta dish for me so I really don't care for Italian places. Any one know any places that are good with both pasta and steak? Preferably in South Philadelphia but anywhere in the Philly area will do.

I can't vouch for their steak, but my favorite Italian place in the city is probably Marra's @ 1734 E Passyunk. Everything is good, especially the pizza, and the place has a really nice authentic homemade vibe.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
