This oil thing is something else, but I'm definitely not surprised. A lot of kats need to take better initiative in conserving money the best way they can. Crazy how the rich dictate society and it ends up going to the dogs.......

My house is 21 years old. A new house here in the desert will cost you about $300,000 or more.

San Diego and L.A. are out of reach, $450,000 average I'm guessing.

Movie tickets for me are $7. But I get the student discount with my UA ID card.


And yes, 7 bucks for a chicken nugget combo at Chick Fil A is better than 2 combos for the same price anywhere else.

That reminds me, the movie ticket on Saturday was a student discount, and it was still $10.50.

On the subject of food, Costco's Food Market has the best value out there. Chicken bake, hot dog, and a drink for $4.51, you can't beat that.

If I gotta give something back to the city, that my brothers of years past fought hard to get in order to get more money.....HOW THE HECK IS THAT A RAISE?!!!
If you give something to get something, you dip$hit Mayor.....it's called a TRADE.

Most people don't know this....and the City is blaming the Police Union for it(they had no choice but to agree), but with the LOWERING of starting salaries for police recruits...the city is having an UNBELIEVABLY difficult time getting new hirees. Couple the new salary with the fact that you have to have college credits(they are already getting rid of this rule....nobody in their right mind is going to start college....see the starting salaries of the private sector and then decide to go into law enforcement for UNDER $25,000 a year...IN NYC)

But hey...that's Bloomberg......take it or leave it....

I love N.Y.C.....but all I can say now is...after seeing how the civil service is going here....ESPECIALLY the uniformed service...thank God my time is almost up. If things continue the way they are going....in 10 years this city will be a complete mess. I'm already starting to see the torch jobs of people who are losing their homes to foreclosure......and the city cut it's fire marshal force by 70%!...so it's gonna be free reign ....will it be the '70's again? I doubt it....but it's gonna get ugly if the prices keep going up.....employment down.....and people start feeling helpless....

I used to work at Costco. The best deal in the food court is the hot dog and a soda for 1.50 plus tax. That hot dog is like a depth charger too. after you eat one your full and low-runnin for a few hours. And you can get a refill too on the soda.

I agree on the gas prices, and movie prices. But what about milk? It's running over $5 a gallon here easily. That's crazy!

Last time I checked, median house price in San Diego County was a shade under $550,000.
