    New Years and Your Resolutions

It's about that time of the year to start thinking about how you'll make 2008 better for yourself and those around you.

So, I think it's only right that we offer resolutions for everyone here.

    I'll start with Candyman5.

I propose that you purchase a Charlie Chaplin mustache to complete the set.

And since I'm in a giving mood.

I propose to 24th Letter that he learn how to use the 23 ones before him to build a sentence that is both concise and sensible.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

      LOL got you man.

I propose to post a "lol" in each and every thread that Yankee makes to give him a sense of accomplishment here at OperationSports.com

Hey, now. I don't need you to laugh at what I post so I can get a sense of accomplishment here.

        I do all that myself.

Now you're just being extreme, silly.

What color is aspirin? What does aspirin do when you smash it? Think that way and you might figure it out.

You've only been around for two full months and you've already donated.

Hmm, there goes another resolution idea. Donate!

Re: New Years and Your Resolutions

New Year's resolutions suck. I've started mine early. That is to lose the weight i've put on since meeting my wife and getting married. That's about 70lbs. I joined a gym 2 weeks ago and so far so good. The times i've almost talked myself out of going, I ended up going and feeling pretty good about it. It took 7 years to put it on so I don't expect it to be gone quickly. This will be a work in progress on the road to living a healthier life. I had a physical in June and was really surprised that I was a pretty healthy fat guy (lol), I turned 30 last year so I know that could change quickly so I'm meeting it head on.

That's great. Most important thing is fighting your thoughts. Your brain will say I don't want to do it. Gotta find a way to use that as motivation.

You should keep us updated with your progress. Then you'd only be lying to yourself if you lied.
