OK, time to date yourself. Most of us have had a period of our lives where we went to the arcade to shovel quarters into our favorite games, before consoles became dominant. Which ones were you addicted to? Here's a small list of games I've probably spent my inheritance on when I was young:

1) Dragon's Lair - I was absolutely blown away by the graphics in the early-mid 80's. Never won this game, but was fascinated by it and never minded losing so much.

2) Double Dragon - Gotta 'dragon' theme going here. Those old enough know what I'm talking about. Good old street fighting game you'd try to win with your buddy. Cool bosses, good scenery and graphics. Cool game.

3) John Elway's Quarterback - Not gonna be on a lot of people's lists, but I loved this game. You could really air it out and it had a huge variety of teams to choose from. Good sound effects on big hits too.

4) Punch-Out! - Body blow! Body blow! Cool characters, good graphics, and boxing with a transparent green guy. Nothing better. I'd play it today if I saw it somewhere. They had a sequel called 'Arm Wrestling' with the same concept, except you had to vigorously shake the joystick to win. You'd be too wiped out to get past the big fat guy in the 3rd round.

Dragon's Lair was a sick game, so was Space Ace. I still think I liked Track and Field the best. Second would be Punch out.

i must have spent a month's allowance once playing a TMNT side scrolling arcade game with a friend. that game was tough.

Almost every fighting game after SF2 owned me... I spent many a quarter on those damn things.

A figthing game, that I can't remember the title. You fought in a square, sort of 3D-ish but more 3/4 down instead of top down. Guys were short and roundish. That's all I got, damn, I wish I could remember that game.

i remember playing the table top football game with x's and o's. had that big roller ball you had to move 100 mph to get your guy to move.

Dude that game kick major ***. Until I got my skin stuck in that roller. lol What about WWF game? That was a blast. I think you had to fight Ted D at the end.

Growing up it was bottom of the 9th, High Impact football, Frogger, Ms. PacMan, Contra, and a few others I can't remember.

During my teenage years my friend and I played Virtua Tennis and NBA Hangtime, we had some epic NBA Hangtime games. I was always the suns with Rex Chapman and Jason Kidd. We played at 2 different arcades and it was weird because he always won at the arcade with the smaller screen and I always won at the one with the bigger screen.
