They annoy me as well, Im all for them doing their job but I would think they might get a better response if they waited for people to stop and look and then talk to them instead of trying to grab every person that walks by.

The other day I was at the mall and I literally had the same person at the same kiosk hit me twice within 20 minutes, Im not sure if their memory is horrible but nothing like getting the same person trying to sell me on their cell phone service, gets really annoying.

I'm sure people have done studies that show annoying people gets you more sales...I mean how many of us would actually stop and buy that crap voluntarily? Not that many...but if they somehow get you engaged, that's a sales opportunity that they wouldn't have had otherwise.

I've just learned how to deflect them, and I don't mind just being completely standoffish and saying "not interested"...It's the timid who get sucked in.

I just say not interested as well or no thanks. If they continue talking and can't comprehend what I just said I keep walking anyway.

Yeah, they do get annoying........I just ignore them and walk past them.

i actually like wasting their time.. example last night the lady needed to sit down. as we were heading to a bench we passed the neck wrap guy lol.. he was like excuse me blah blah blah.. i said sure sit down honey, he showed us how it works and what its suppose to do blah blah for 10 mins or so. i then said this is free correct? he looked at me with a weird face. i said you told me before we sat down that it was free.. he said no no, i said free sample on how it works. i was like ohhh sorry i didnt understand you (but i did).. sorry sir not interested..

imagine how many people i saved in those 10 mins from being annoyed.. lol
