    Post-Christmas return policies?

Anybody know the post-Christmas return policies for some of the major retail stores? Best Buy and Circuit City specifically, Wal-Mart or Target would do as well.

I received some DVDs that I already own, but don't know where they were purchased, the gift-giver forgot as well and didn't include a gift receipt. They are unopened in their plastic wrap, I don't know where to try to return them. I know Best Buy doesn't accept returns without receipts normally, but I also know a few years back I took an unopened videogame a day or two after Christmas and they took it without a receipt(but I did know for sure it was purchased there...).

I know Wal-Mart will usually take anything still in the plastic, but I also heard they are cracking down a bit on that lately, and I would prefer to avoid going there if BB or CC would accept them.

Thanks, store credit is all I'm looking for, not trying to get cash for things without receipts, but I'd like to get store credit somewhere.
