Thanks for the words of encouragement and support....I really do
appreciate it. It's the biggest "get well card" ive gotten so far and I cant
thank yall enough.

Im home now, in SERIOUS pain but according to the docs im expected to
make a full recovery with check ups and treatments over the next couple
of months. I cant even describe what the last couple of days have been
like. I was inches away from getting hit in the spine...but im here....and
im grateful for it. Im glad to be home with my family, im just grateful
for a lot right now.



Ill be home for a long time so ill eventually post everythinglthat happened in detail, I just
don't have it in me physically and emotionally right now....but for the next couple of weeks its
all OS,360 and DVDs so I have plenty of time



Right now, im about to go back to sleep....

I live in the University area of Charlotte, some call it north I
guess..... but this happened in East Charlotte near the Plaza.

I was just getting some gas man,

So im walking up to the store to pay and see this group of
guys....wannabe gang members, I actually knew one of them from school back in the day anyway. So as I walk by, the guy I know steps out to dap me up (or
shake hands) all the sudden POP! POP! POP!

it feels like I just got a flaming sword stuck through my back to my
stomach ....I mean I know thats a weird way to describe it, but thats the
only way to define the piercing\burning sensation I got.....after
that, I cant remember what happened.

I dont remember hitting my head but I obviously fell straight down to
the concrete because I was also treated for a large gash on my forhead
as well....

it was just crazy man....

Turns out I was caught in a "crossfire" of gang related shooting.
you know what the thing is? the guy that I knew "refused to snitch" and thats what had and still has me heated, even though the shooter ended up turning himself in....18 year old kid man...

anyway, thats what happened... more or less....I dont feel like getting TOO detailed

Damn, you got shot on the Eastside. Didn't know it was that bad over there. I live on the Southside near Nations Ford and it had definately went down the tubes over here. Little kids thinking they are gangstas and carrying guns.

I heard that the Eastside wasn't the best part of town, especially the University area. I remember looking for online housing in that area and I even made a thread on OS asking for help.

Thankfully, I took the advice of family, friends, and fellow OS'ers and moved to Southwest Charlotte near Lake Wylie.

I hope everything is going well with the recovery 24th!

The thread title threw me off with him using your name like that so i'm just now reading it. Sorry you had to go through that man. This gunplay on the streets needs to stop now. Like you said the whole "snitching" code is stupid. If gangs want to meet in an abandoned warehouse somewhere and shoot it out then go right ahead but when you take it to the streets where the regular Joe Blow is just trying to get home from work then you need to pay for what you did. I'm getting sick of hearing about little kids and old ladies getting popped.

Well I'm glad you made it through. Just stick with that therapy no matter how boring and painful it is. I guess you'll be racking up those gamerpoints in no time huh?
